Yang said that he needed to make it to 4th place in the NH primary in order for him to continue his campaign. So, I was aware this might happen and I wasn't surprised. I do feel a little sad that my first choice for a candidate didn't make it through the primary season. I guess I'm going to have to pick another candidate to support for when the primary election comes to my home state of New York.
I lost my top Republican pick before New Hampshire in 1996, 2000 and 2016, my top Democrat after New Hampshire in 2004 and before New Hampshire in 2008 and 2016. I'll be holding my breath about this year's favorite every day.

A disappointment that he wasn't able to better express his other ideas besides UBI. I would have especially liked him to bring up nuclear power more in the climate change discussions. But when you're not constantly interrupting to call out other candidates in the debates like a 10 year old, you don't get any screen time. Policy discussions don't make headlines - one liners do. The writing was on the wall after Iowa.
Yang is a bit of a character, and an guy who thinks outside the box, and outside party labels. I don't want him in the oval office but I do want him in public service. I'd like to see him in Congress, a Governor's chair or in a cabinet level position or high up in the white house staff. I did rather like the guy but …
