After the NH Results and Amy's Ascension and Biden dropping like a rock, is that where the Dem. Party is headed?

    Thoughts?

I sure hope not. The sooner the dems can get Bernie and Joe out the soon the dems can get their ducks in a row and accomplish something.

But this time can the DNC rip off Bernie without being destroyed by his horde of rabid supporters? As for Bernie dare he even risk this time around once again obediently bending over and clasping his ankle for a good screwing over from the DNC?

Biden and I have the same chance now to move into the White House.
I do not think the DNC can screw him again with taking huge amounts of damage from their base. It would cost them turnout and that in turn could cost them the election.

Yep; and if the DNC have got to give Bernie the nomination this time around then they might as well simply concede Trump another four years of the presidency. Nice!

Sanders might have won in '16 and
was certainly the best bet then.

Today no ones in significant numbers is going to vote against
a fatter wallet with more spending cash on hand than
experienced under RepubloCratic Rule. Clinton-Bush Jr.-Obama.

'16 was the time for Sanders and Warren.
But, Warren betrayed "us" and didn't declare and further
    supported Hillary.

No One but a Dark Horse Candidate with a difference
such as Tulsi Gabbard can defeat Trump in 2020
The Democrats have extinguished that possibility.
Better so for Gabbard 2024 with no incumbent President.

More likely an Amy K/ Mayor Pete ticket. Take a look at the percentage of voters who went for the more conservative candidates. Between Amy K, Pete and Biden they outscored the Bernie voters 2 to 1. Not all Warren voters would go for Bernie, so as Biden drops out, his 10% goes to the moderates. Maybe Warren as V.P. to pull in the Bernie voters.

    You know what?

I have no idea what is going to happen.

But, with Warren dropping like a rock, if Liz fares really bad in NV then she should drop out and endorse Bernie to consolidate the Progressive Wing.

Then on Super Tuesday we will see what Bloomberg has gotten for his $500 Million.

Bernie ain't goin nowhere. Long live old angry white guy, Bernie. Feel the bern. Biden is going to hang in there and suck votes away from Amy and Buttigieg for as long as possible. He thinks he deserves it, kinda like Clinton did. The only hope of getting Bernie out is a brokered convention. If they get rid of him in a convention they will piss off his whole block. It's gonna be fun to watch.

Given Bernie's age, his vice president will be very important since it is very possible he will die in office. He is also seen as authentic and principled, even if his principles are very radical. So it wouldn't make any sense for him to choose a likely successful who doesn't share his beliefs. At least he needs to choose someone who also supports Medicare for all, since it is possible that it will be up to his vice-president to continue to fight for it. I think Warren is his best options for VP and even has some mainstream cred. Obviously she has a lot of problems and will make for a polarizing ticket. Or he can find a more boring running mate outside the field running for president. He really needs someone who seems more moderate but also supports left-wing policies.

Why do so many people think the VP pick should be one of the (losing) Presidential candidates? I mean, when was the last time that happened???

In a brokered convention, it is more likely.

It's probably going to be the Dem Party's only hope for post nomination unity. They know that huge numbers of angry Bernie supporters either sat out 2016 presidential voting or voted 3rd party in protest over what the DNC did to Bernie; and they do not want something like that to happen again. Most of our leftist posters seem to be sensing how this is going to have to go in 2020 in order to avoid a repeat.

Why not an Amy/Bernie Ticket. How sexist to suggest otherwise.

Biden and Hillary both ran against Obama in 2008. Obama picked Biden as VP.

And to the topic question, no. Sanders and Amy won't happen.

I can't imagine a moderate/moderate ticket. If there is fear that the Bernie voters won't turn out should Buttigieg / Amy / Bloomberg win, he may get the VP nod (especially if it's a brokered convention). Otherwise I'd expect the VP to be picked to shore up the nominee's weaknesses.

Klobuchar was toast the very second she voted for Trump's Impeachment.

Bernie will pick someone like Stacie Abrahms.

I STILL Think he has ZERO Chance at the Nom.

Although Biden may not be the lock that he once was.

Most likely Bloomberg or Biden if he can rebound.

If not, somebody new from a brokered convention.

I was merely posing a Hypothetical Question.

Like being the party who represents the same people the gop reptesents? And it aint you or any other average guy. Princeton proved that but you dont give a rats arse.

The sooner the DP implodes and they move back to standing up for workers the better. The GOP is there to represent banking and mncs and their common stock holders and we dont need the party of Clinton to help them.

If Bernie can beat the corporate dems who will cheat to beat him with msm help hopefully he will pick tulsi as vp. For there isnt a better person for him.

If this treasonous DP is to ever represent the commob man again we would need one term of sanders and 2 for tulsi to have the needed time to destroy the corporate party of Clinton and get my old party back.

I’m anticipating a brokered convention with strong “anybody but” sentiment for both Sanders and Bloomberg. If Warren can hang around I believe she’s the only candidate that can successfully bridge that scenario.

This isn’t a cycle we can have personal ambition get in the way. So I’d like to see the Party leave the convention with a team (not a cabinet). Meaning whomever the candidate is I’d like them to pledge autonomy to a few all stars to work within the next administration on specific issues. For instance, Stacey Abrams with Civil and Voting Rights or a Jay Inslee on Climate, etc.

Essentially come out of the convention with a show force. We’re united and dead set on addressing issues A, B, C, D, here are the people tasked, and flood the campaign trail with strong surrogates. We’re not about king-making but getting the job done.

No one should be sitting on the sideline this cycle.

No. I don’t believe Amy will survive but she certainly can be utilized.
