This thread makes it clear Mike has a problem with black voters whom he desperately would need if he's the democrat nominee.

Well the Democratic Party is the Black party, so they are not going to abandon that without getting a better deal than that from Republicans. When Trayvon Martin, Tamir Rice, and Michael Brown were shot, the Democrats were there to march and riot in the streets and blame the cops. Are Republicans going to do that? No. Are the Democrats or Republicans going to promise Reparations someday? You know it's the Democrats. They've already had three of their Presidential candidates come out for reparations.

Trump can peel off a sliver of the Democratic vote based on jobs, but the vast majority are not going to switch for that.

Well that was my point, where are they going to go?

But yeah, turnout will make a difference this year, and I guess if a white racist billionaire wins the Democratic nomination, they'll plug in a black VP (Val Demings would be my guess) to fix their turn out issue.

The Democrats haven't produced anyone that looks like they could possibly win the election yet. The black vote just isn't going to be excited for Bloomberg like they were for Obama. Their turnout is going to be low.

Why do you think the black vote is so important. List some States where it will matter in the general election.

Wow... as much as bloomberg sucks, he’s correct to some extent.

The black population was not redlined, they were treated accordingly to how they should have been until the government forced banks to lower lending standards.

Since the 40’s (and it’s still true today albeit not as drastic) the black population, on average, has less income, worse credit scores, higher debt and as such less ability to pay back loans and less collateral to offer in exchange for loans than the white population.

So let me ask you, if you have two people in front of you; Person A who has a high income, has a high credit score, has low debt and sufficient collateral compared to Person B who has low income, low credit rating, high debt and no collateral.

Would you loan those two people the same amount of money at the same rate? Of course not. Not unless you’re a complete moron.

Argument isn't with the validity of mikes statement it's whether making that statement will cost him the black vote.

That may well be Mikes move to counter his past statements if he's the nominee. He's already pumping out commercials with him and Obama together in response to some of his anti black statements surfacing

    Bloomberg was speaking the truth.

But in 21st century America, the truth must be silenced.

True, the government basically made it illegal for banks to property evaluate home loans, all in the name of 'fairness'. Obama's buddies at ACORN were suing banks for racism who wouldn't give loans to unqualified borrowers.

Are you speaking of Donald Trump? We know he doesn't like Blacks, until he needs their votes. Omarosa said so.

You won't vote for anyone who you might be considered to have said or done racist things in the past?
    tRUMP included?

I'm talking about blacks in America and they won't vote for Mike with the things he's said that are not black friendly

    No.

I am using Leftists' standards for Bloomberg, who appears to have very racist tendencies and would receive mass outrage if a Republican.

Omarosa is lying a drama queen. You need to drum up a little originality and not plagiarize.

What he said was that banks were pressured to give out loans to everyone, even low-income minority neighborhoods. This was indeed a factor in the housing bubble in addition to the predatory loans we say to people who didn't qualify. What he said wasn't politically correct, but it was correct.

So the political Left never really means what it says? It's all about winning by hook, crook, or outright lies; and ethics and honor and integrity are for chumps? Sweet! All this was obvious all along, but it's nice for some of them to finally admit the truth.

I'm confused. From your OP you it sounds like you are attacking Bloomberg. But now you agree with him? So why aren't you agreeing with or praising his position in the OP?

I'm not attacking the validity of what he said I am arguing his saying it will be construed as being racist and blacks will not vote for him based on that perception.

But why did you fail to mention that you actually agree with his opinion in the OP and disagree with the liberals who are attacking him for it? It really does sound like you are attack him in the OP because your post is all negative.
