I've no idea. I never wrote what you attribute to me.

The question is: When a person walks in to the polling place, how are we to know whether he is who he says he is?

AFAIK, every State requires voters to prove they are residence of the area they vote in.

How does the state know whether the voter is who they say they are?

Do you have a name ? Yes or no. Do you remember everything you wrote in your voter registration form ? Yes or no.

cause any one impersonating you needs to know. And that’s impossible without your cooperation.

Don't know which state you live in, but most states will require a picture of you and proof of your residence. Often a bill with one's name and address works.
But maybe your state isn't up on proving one's ID.

Seriously, how can you make that ridiculous statement ? They can’t. And I feel like an enabler telling you this. They need to give a name that appears ON THEIR ROLL with your registration information. How is this so hard to understand ? You did register in your voting precinct didn’t you.?

You have registered and actually voted.
Did the polling place you voted at know you were you? Or would you be able to claim to be anyone you desired?

Are you saying, in your locality, you were not required to show proof you are actually you? That sounds like a problem in your area.

the name you give them has to appear on a voter registration roll....aling with any other information you filled in at the time of registration.

You tell them YOUR name....a novel idea. It works EVERYTIME.
Btw, it’s the voting precinct and not the state you’re talking to when you vote.

This is a hilarious conversation. We live in a country where fewer then 50% of the registered voters actually vote, now you're claiming people vote under the charge of committing a felony by just guessing Someone’s name . I know Republican fix news followers believe this stuff, but not people who can turn the channel.

I'm a Democrat, and I don't care about getting more voters. :) Or were you referring to a specific group of Democrats? As far as the parties, I think both want those swing voters.

You mean they require id when voting? I've never heard of this.
Verifying a person's identity seems like a good idea.

Swing voters....Actually, a few swingers might be just as entertaining after the polls close. ;)

I mean the DNC and candidates. Yes, the name of the game is "Get more votes", but Dems' policy platforms often promise the lower-income classes something but their actual policies in practice hurt the working classes the most. It's bait and switch.

    I claimed that? Where?
So how do we know who is actually casting the vote unless they can identify themselves?

You can do that easily at the voting precinct. Just ask them their name. It has to match the roll. Any doubts, just like a computer password, ask them any more information that appears on your voter registration...it’s easy. No Fkn need for voter IDs. You provide proof when you register.

So just ask them who they are? And don't require any evidence?

26 convictions in Texas for mail-in ballot fraud ring targeting nursing home residents. No ID required on mail in ballots and a lot easier than driving to a polling location.

You keep claiming anyone can commit voter fraud...
They can easily identify themselves correctly by answering the same questions they had to answer in their registration forms.
It’s during the registration people need ID, not for voting.
this simple system has worked for decades and no one has found any organized voter fraud. None, nada nix.....only with republicans.

Ha ha. I guess the system works. They caught them as you don’t need ID for mail in ballots. That’s ridiculous and counter productive. The information you give has to match your voter registration forms. Do you have a computer password for anything. It works the same way. I know this is hard stuff...it takes thought. You only need the ID for voter registration.

You realize that registration occurs at a different time than voting, right?

I guess they’ll have to guess the right one in the roll the intake worker has of registered voters ....what are the chances.

Exactly, that’s an advantage. That’s the material that needs protection. A fraud voter attempt needs access to that information, to vote for you. Considering it’s a felony to try, I guess only a fool would think anyone would try for one fking vote. Let’s get real. Who is that delusional. The idea that it isn’t done successfully ...tells you something.
