Excuse me...but am I mistaken. Just after Jesus looked liked he took a lap around Daytona, didn't Daddy rain on the parade? Parade (ie the race) postponed? Yes. But.....more seriously, is this not a politicisation of an iconic event? What cost? There was Trump, his Wife and all the security etc...including look-a-like limos (I bet Trump was in that limo which exited at the start of the lap.) You tax payers coughed up for the military flyover and the slow fly over by Air Force One etc etc. This stuff would never be tolerated down here. So bloody crass.
Well you not America, we tolerated it here. It was a wonderful event for the president. Who is your leader and why is he not tolerated being around people that love him down there?
"A wonderful event for the President." Yay, Team USA! You paid squillions so that POTUS enjoyed a 'wonderful event." Be proud your dollars paid for it.
We are very proud of our president. I noticed you avoid telling me who your leader is, not proud of him you are.
"We" are very proud of an adulterer, a puzzey grabbing, multiple bankrupt and complete liar. Okay, I hope you have it wrong being proud of such a grub, 'but, that's okay."
We are very proud of Donald Trump, He MAGA. who ever your leader is, he obviously come from a criminal family like most of your kind down there.
Most NASCAR folks are Trump supporters. It's a very patriotic crowd overall and they loved his participation. The excitement has been building and this has been the talk of the news for days, ever since it was announced that Trump was coming. Forever, now, those race fans will be able to look back on this. "I was at Daytona the year Trump came". Flying low over the track upon arrival was just a bonus and didn't change the flight path too greatly. As for the military jets, they are always part of the pageantry at the start of the Great American Race. Face it, Trump is our President, and Presidents do things like this. (Bush and Reagan did also.) For all that the radical left hates Trump, there is also a huge chunk of the country who love him. Besides, I don't care who you are or who you voted for ---- any American who doesn't get chills a little seeing Air Force One flying overhead, there is something wrong with you.
They have no clue how to maintain their forest. They must have California Democrats advising them. Hands off... no control burns... etc...
OH NO, a auto race rained out! Stop the press! The last time was in 2012, what say you now, that rotten Mr. Obatard fault LOLOL..
Generally I ignore the TDS threads in here but this one was so absurd I just had to look. Kind of like driving by a car wreck, I don't want to look but something makes me do so.
You believe God sent the rain? Flyovers are common place. Air Force One was landing at the airfield across the highway. He is the fourth President to attend Daytona and his fourth time to attend. Nothing funnier than a foreigner trying to slam the USA and getting egg on their face. At least we cheer our leaders when they attend our national sporting events. "Scott Morrison says booing the prime minister at sporting events is a "great tradition" after tennis fans jeered him at the Australian Open." https://www.sbs.com.au/news/booing-pm-a-great-tradition-morrison
Not your tax dollars, not your race, not your president, not your country, not your hemisphere, yet here you are.
I have no problem with him going to the race ... if he didn't just waste another $3 million flying all the way down to Florida for a round of golf first. There are great military courses all around Virginia - Obama used to play those instead of flying to Hawaii every other weekend to play golf. Trump's a tool.
They adjusted their path so as to do a flyover of the speedway, and then resumed course for landing. Although the airport is next to the track, it's not a direct lineup for the runways. It also occurred approximately 1 1/2 hours before the start of the race, hence not everyone yet being seated in the stands. You Trump haters should do more homework before spouting off about such petty crap.
It is a sign of their desperation. They know trump is loved by Americans and the harder they try to destroy trump, the stronger trump gets. It really bothers them... a lot...
"Jesus"? "More seriously"? Do you honestly think this is the first time a president has attended a sporting event? How incredibly trivial. Put some ointment on that.
