There is no deep state. The closest thing to a real deep state is Fox. Trump conspires with Hannity daily on how best to dupe their minions. If you believe in any other deep state, you are living a fantastically dangerous fantasy life that is tearing the nation apart. You have been duped by two-bit con men and carnival barkers, like Limbaugh.
It has been used as a great whataboutism, hasn't it? I'm starting to believe there is a serious lack of critical thought among Trump supporters - anytime they are forced to think about something that he's done for which there is no plausible defense, they pull it out. I'm wondering how well they'll respond to the new book Dark Towers.
We are not governed by our elected officials. We are governed by unelected bureaucrats and public sector parasites. These unelected bureaucrats and public sector parasites are the "deep state". Their leaders have been selling out and selling off America for decades. If there really is no "deep state" then we should be able to rotate out all of those unelected bureaucrats and public sector parasites. If they don't consider themselves to be what we claim they consider themselves to be then their replacement shouldn't be a problem. To those being accused of being a part of the "deep state" - Go get jobs in the private sector that don't suckle of the public teet, and prove us wrong.
It is downright fanaticism. They use invisible, imaginary monsters as their excuse for everything. Trump and his ilk have created an entire party that has no grasp of reality.
I can name the ones who have been culled out, but then again we all can. More names will be made public as the swamp drains.
What we see is that every time anyone goes against trump they get labeled deep state. That is just fanatical. Half of these people were appointed by Republicans, and many by trump himself. You all live in a fantasy world filled with invisible monsters.
Now William Barr is being called deep state!!! Trump just appointed the idiot. So that makes trump the deep state.
I get how exciting and thrilling it is to discuss and believe some of these wild conspiracy theories that float around out there. I had my brush with that shady underbelly of conspiracy laced mythologies back in the 90's. I used to listen to Art Bell almost religiously, but after that horror of Y2K came and went without much really happening, I started to realize just how silly taking these stories seriously was. Like Fox Mulder from the X-Files, I wanted to believe, but I needed proof, and just digging deeper never really provided a satisfying answer. So I switched from reading about conspiracy theories to understanding urban mythmaking, because in essence, that's all these stories are really about. It's just our modern version of campfire stories. Urban myths are exciting and addictive, because they comfortably exist between the real world and the hypothetical and they feed a sense of belonging and struggle, which has nothing at all to do with the reality of the subject itself. The sort of conspiracies the Art Bell show in general are harmless, but they have the potential to create problems. Bell himself was harassed by listeners who were insanely fanatical. But these days, UFOs, bigfoot, contrails, Area 51, alien creatures, and secret cabals are nothing compared to the stuff peddled by right wing media in the name of "news". This is a serious shift that undermines even basic communications with those who are disciples of these crazy theories.
I don't think how they'll respond is much of a mystery. They'll do what they always do. Cover their ears, avert their eyes, and dismiss the truth as fake news. Cuz the truth about Big Fat Don, and themselves, is too difficult to face.
The level of will ignorance here is beyond belief. 20% of of the population works for the administrative state and you swear there isn't one. I'd laugh if that level of blindness weren't so abysmally sad.
Schumer told the nation that our CIA can get at a president 6 ways from Sunday as a warning to trump. No there is no deep state! So stop it. Just because you cant see the obvious is on you. Your opinion is just uninformed . And perhaps ignorance is bliss for your team. Ike saw the rise of the deep state and warned us . I think given who he was his observation is credible whereas yours is naive . Worthless.
The ONLY real deep state issue is within Trump's own hand selected WH cabinet. The ones who appear to be the most appalled by Trump's actions, or inactions, are within his own team. That is what has been plaguing this administration more than anything else. Rather than looking for nefarious civil servants trying to undermine Trump, you should be looking at the parade of people who have been hired and fired by Trump. They are the ones who know what's really going on behind closed doors, but we already know the GOP will do diddly squat to hear their testimony.
So already you are backpedaling and calling it the administrative state. That didn't take long. So the sanitation workers are in on this? You changed the argument. So now you are arguing what, that every civil servant is part of some grand conspiracy?
You take one quote out of context and think that is supposed to count for something? That isn't even an argument.
Hannity and trump coordinate the messages coming from Fox, and those coming from trump. That is about as great of an example of deep-state corruption as one can find.
I see the terms as rough synonyms only difference I can see is that people think of the upper levels of the administrative state as the deep state and include the rank file as well under administrative state.
Please share your obvious wisdom about the "deep state." Who or what should go? Who are these ugly, ignorant, lazy strap holders? We need to know. Should we lock them up? Fire them all? What? All I hear is yada, yada, yada. Show us the government that tickles your fancy. Go for it.
