Trump commutes sentence of ex-Illinois Gov. Blagojevich, pardons ex-NY police commissioner Kerik, ex-49ers owner DeBartolo — and Michael Milken

President Donald Trump granted executive clemency Tuesday to former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, as well as to ex-New York Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik and to Edward DeBartolo Jr., former owner of the San Francisco 49ers football team.

Trump also announced that he had pardoned Michael Milken, the former junk bond king who became a face of the insider trading financial scandals of the 1980s.

In all, Trump granted some form of executive clemency to 11 individuals Tuesday, according to the White House.

They were all convicted for acts of corruption. Apparently, Don hates to see people serve time for the types of things he himself does. Like Roger Stone, who lied to Congress and to Mueller. Don must feel a kind of a brotherhood with these criminals. The only difference between them, so far, being those other guys got convicted while Don bought his way out at least one term in prison.

You mean other than the fact that they've already spent a lot of time in jail?

Ho hum, all presidents pardon people. They have the power and they use it, so what. Some chicken-livered presidents do it on their last day in office. Give Trump credit for doing pardons with his re-election coming up.

I fear that is closer to the truth than we would like to believe.

You know that doesn't make it right. And didn't Trump run on "draining the swamp"? How is commuting the sentence of someone like Blagovich (read up on just what he was convicted of) "swamp draining"?

It hadn't occurred to me that he was doing it for self-benefit as part of a re-election scheme. But it is consistent with his whole corrupt administration.

Would he have pardoned all of those criminal bankers involved in fraud that crashed our economy and Europe's?

Oh the Obama admin being owned by wall street didnt prosecute these criminals! First time that ever happened !

These bastards wiped out millions of Americans and yet the bastards were bailed out and got bonuses for their crimes !

So what do they have in common? All did time while Obama let worse criminals go free.
