Nah, the only way Bernie gets in there is if there's a massive wave, and if there's a massive wave, the Dems take the Senate. There'll then be enormous pressure to abolish the filibuster.

Can’t do that in Florida without changing your political affiliation on you voter registration.

I will accept that he is president and that we need to take the house so that we have a reason to impeach him and investigate him for his support of Mother Russia because that is the new standard according to the Democrats.

The celebration of losing is quite ironic, but it may be poetic to get used to it for November this year.

So you want to impeach Trump and get rid of him?

No, he's saying that the right can pull a Pelosi and impeach Sanders. Which I'm not quite in favor for since A: The secret senate vote didn't happen and B: Trump wasn't convicted in the Senate. In other words, the Senate preserved our system(despite Politico's whining otherwise.).

That said if it did happen, I'd shrug my shoulders. "You shouldn't but...they kind of started it so whatever."

Sort of funny to watch Biden rally his supporters
as if he won, or even came in a close second.

    What a doofus.

I want to go to a Bernie rally with some of my buddies and start singing the International. I'll be a legend.

    The International

Arise ye workers from your slumbers
    Arise ye prisoners of want
For reason in revolt now thunders
And at last ends the age of cant.
    Away with all your superstitions
    Servile masses arise, arise
We’ll change henceforth the old tradition
And spurn the dust to win the prize.

    Refrain:
    So comrades, come rally
And the last fight let us face
The Internationale unites the human race.

    No more deluded by reaction
On tyrants only we’ll make war
The soldiers too will take strike action
They’ll break ranks and fight no more
And if those cannibals keep trying
To sacrifice us to their pride
They soon shall hear the bullets flying
We’ll shoot the generals on our own side.

It appears he just told the DNC to kiss off. Or might this be an admission that he knows the DNC is trying to find a way for him to lose?

What interesting times we live in.

Does the DNC use their superdelegates to take it away from Bernie? If they can? If he has the most delegates, but not a majority?

Words and messaging mean alot. Listen to how Bernie says "they can't stop us". Bernie's message(similar in ways to Trump's) is inclusive to his followers. As a complete contrast to the *******(Bloomberg), Bernie has about one youtube ad and it's a simple 15 seconds where he says "Please add your name to support our campaign."

For all the yelling and the theatrics, as a campaigner, Sanders is much more in his element in an Obama-like grassroots movement on the Left.

This is yours to lose at this point. We're going through what you went through in 2016: the populist emerges, gets some momentum, and the moderate vote is split four different ways. So we run Bernie and a moderate woman (probably Amy), and hope an upset happens.

I really wish I had bet on Bernie right after that heart attack. The prediction markets had written him off. But I thought he was finished too.

That heart attack works in his favor in a way. Bernie's kind of a badass.

That would be "Scenario Three" in the article linked below, which describes the DNC Super Delegate rules changes they implemented after the 2016 election.

SCENARIO THREE: No candidate earns a majority of either pledged or all delegates in the primary contests, most likely due to multiple candidates having run during the 2020 process (1 to 500 pledged delegates).
OUTCOME: Only pledged delegates would vote on the first ballot, but with no majority winner, the party would then vote on a second ballot (and more if needed). Superdelegates would vote beginning with the second ballot.
Pledged delegates could still change their votes to avoid a second ballot if their candidate drops out and "releases" them, in which case they could vote for their personal preference. All delegates become unpledged after the first vote. The last Democratic convention to go beyond the first ballot was in 1952.

It would be absolute chaos if they took it away from Bernie. Like rioting in the streets chaos. On the other hand, the Democratic party is going to be defined by Bernie Sanders? Bernie Sanders??? This country is having a nervous breakdown.

Yes you would, you are just pretending not to see it now.

It is those on the right who have shifted most significantly from their historical counterparts. Lincoln, often claimed by contemporary Republicans as their own, read and even corresponded with Karl Marx. Though he certainly did not adopt Marx's thinking wholesale, he was at least willing to intellectually engage with the ideas of his day. In a state of the union address, Lincoln even stated that "Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration." There is an idea that wouldn't seem strange at all coming from Bernie Sanders but would be the death knell of any Republican primary candidate.

Similarly, though Teddy Roosevelt was a Republican, much of his "New Nationalism" speech could be given by Bernie and wouldn't sound at all out of place. Through it, he argues against money in politics, asserts that the Constitution does not "give the right of suffrage to any corporation," and insists on the need for "thoroughgoing and effective regulation." In a Bernie-esque parlance, he states that "the absence of effective State, and, especially, national, restraint upon unfair money-getting has tended to create a small class of enormously wealth and economically powerful men, whose chief object is to hold and increase their power." Though there are many more quotes within this speech that would not sound foreign coming Bernie or Warren's lips, I will add just two more. " "I believe that the natural resources must be used for the benefit of all our people, and not monopolized for the benefit of the few." And, "No man can be a good citizen unless he has a wage more than sufficient to cover the bare cost of living, and hours of labor short enough so after his day’s work is done he will have time and energy to bear his share in the management of the community, to help in carrying the general load. We keep countless men from being good citizens by the conditions of life by which we surround them."

Finally, in his "Cross of Iron" speech, even the Republican Dwight Eisenhower spoke in a way that would be utterly rejected by the modern Republican party but would not sound at all strange coming from the left:

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed.

This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. The cost of one modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30 cities. It is two electric power plants, each serving a town of 60,000 population. It is two fine, fully equipped hospitals. It is some fifty miles of concrete pavement. We pay for a single fighter plane with a half million bushels of wheat. We pay for a single destroyer with new homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people.

This is, I repeat, the best way of life to be found on the road the world has been taking. This is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron."

This notion that Bernie is some crazy outlier spouting ideas that were unheard of until this "socialist" candidate arrived on the scene simply does not comport with the historical record. Bernie stands in solidarity with the best of the American tradition that always looked forward, striving to make things better.

My dream scenario, which is not entirely implausible:

    1. A Bernie/Abrams ticket emerges.
    2. Bernie wins.
3, Bernie is... incapacitated from another heart attack (in my scenario, he rides off into retirement with another couple of stents)
    4. A black woman is President.
