DNC doesn't like Bernie, however. Watch what happens with the super delegates. Bernie will be shafted once again. And if Bernie finds a way to win, the US disposable household income will shrink, just like EVERY other socialized nation.
There's a big difference between sexual fetishes and being attracted to a biologically incompatible partner where the ONLY sex is what straight people consider to be a fetish. Plus straight people don't rub their sexuality in other people's faces, have outlandish parades and force it all upon people who are offended by it. Think of it this way; many people on the left react with hysterical violence when they see something that offends them, things like MAGA hats, Trump bumper stickers or conservatives in general. If we reacted the same way the left does, gays would be in fear of letting their sexuality known. Thankfully for gays, conservatives are not as intolerant or as violent as the left.
Mayor Pete should also question if America is ready for a pre-programed, robotic speaking gay man to be elected POTUS.
@nra37922 I like your over the top sarcasm in this thread topic. It is sarcasm, right? Or, are you changing your voter's registration to Democrat to make sure Bernie Sanders wins the Dem primary? If so, be careful what you wish for...
Two new polls have Sanders beating Trump in Michigan (handily) and the whole country (within margin of error). https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/latest_polls/ There hasn't been a poll in weeks that has Trump beating Sanders. It's hard to see a path for Trump without Michigan.
Booty Judge is clearly a social justice dem but there is where his liberalism or progressivism ends. So he is the modern Dem that is not liberal or progressive when it comes to our economic model of capitalism. He is the kind of dem that would continue to disembowel our economy that does not and will not serve America at all outside of mncs and big bankers. Those mncs and wall street elites dont give a rats arse about social issues. So what separates the DP from the GOP is social issues. For both serve the economic interests of wall street and want illegal labor and an even louder sucking sound of jobs being sent to cheap labor for max profits . Trump won and beat both parties because enough people are tired of what illegal labor and globalism have done to them. If sanders is running on this too he is the only dem who can beat trump .Not booty judge who would be better off judging booties. Male booty. Imo this is the cycle where the DP begins it way back to once again being the party of working people as it once was before being infected with Clinton. But it will not happen overnight. And at my age I will not live to see it take hold completely. But perhaps my grown kids will. The millenial generation. My generation the treasonous boomers need to hurry up and die . We were complicit in destroying the party of fdr by voting for Reagan that opened the door to disemboweling America with that giant sucking sound.
For a while it was Bernie looking nervously over his shoulder as Petey snuck up behind him and snuggled up close, then passed him, then Pete had to look lovingly over his shoulder as Bernie bounced back and snuck up behind Petey. What a dance those two have going. Disclaimer for snowflakes; Above is a parody, but go ahead and make homophobic claims if it makes you feel important.
Exactly. Just the way he came out before Iowa was called and use the word vi Mayo Pete is not going to be the nominee due to Liberal hemophobia?
The Constitution that just happens to be the SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND! Basic Civics 101 as taught in ALL public schools! The states do NOT have the right to DISCRIMINATE against gays! Sad!
There is no law cited. That's the problem. Marriage offers benefits and privileges, which must be defined, the only authority to do so is the legislature. The very same court that unconstitutionally allowed gay marriage also said the federal government couldn't define marriage. The Supreme Court did just that. Not only is it hypocritical its utterly unconstitutional, by their own words. Its open to challenge. Just read Robert's decent. It's a good Trump second term issue, except to see it come up...
That all citizens would have equal rights seems obvious. That "marriage" had to be the word used in the effort to assure certain rights is not obvious. There is nothing wrong in maintaining language with tradition from time immemorial. That "marriage" would be understood to be couples capable of having children (a male adult and a female adult) is not inherently sexist. That said, and given all the ridiculous upset over the issue, it would be absurd to try to back track now. It is nice that America is a republic and minorities can be protected, and, yet, a very, very small minority should not "wag" the entire nation and its culture.
At least you are CONSISTENT when it comes to be WRONG! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supremacy_Clause Basic Civics 101 AGAIN!
The problem stems from egregiously conflating "holy matrimony" with the LEGAL CONTRACT of marriage. What makes it even more confounding is that what was covered under "holy matrimony" in the past is now illegal such as polygamy and child brides. What is IRONIC is that the recognition of gay marriage only occurred because of the Law of Unintended Consequences. Fundamentalist theists began LEGISLATING that "marriage" MUST be defined as "one man and one woman". This culminated with the odious federal DOMA act that was subsequently challenged as a VIOLATION of the Amendment prohibiting the Federal government from DISCRIMINATING on the base of sex. Once it was RULED to be UNCONSTITUTIONAL by the SCOTUS that made gay marriage legal nationwide. In essence gay marriage is a SELF INFLICTED injury that fundamentalist theists brought down upon themselves.
Except without federal action there exists no potential for enforcement. The states could have ignored the ruling and the feds would have no recourse. But, we're not barbarians so instead of making a fuss, we'll use the courts. Without a federal amended the state amendments would be supreme. As far as I know those states never amended their Constitutions afterwards...
Agree, wouldn't the better message be "the people of Nevada wanted Bernie but we are confident in our message and we're on to South Carolina" ?
You've asked multiple people about Buttigige so at this point if you haven't done the legwork yourself your veering dangerously close to the bad faith question area imo
