Anyone can start a business with millions/billions of dollars. That takes no brains because you can hire people to do all the thinking, negotiating, marketing, accounting, labor, etc. for you. Besides, the top corporate "successes" got help from the govt which essentially assumed control of their operations, but kept them on board because they agreed to go along with the elites' agenda. That's why you're always hearing about the nefarious activities of Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, etc. against the general population. They top corporations are in league with the elites to consolidate domestic & global control.

But can any of the 1% you love so much even create a pencil? Can they build anything from scratch? Could they even survive in the wild without any modern comforts or tools? Can they even build a good tool? What can they do that the millions of working class people can't do?

    I'm logical.

And I ask again. If you don't feel the workers are worth their weight in gold, then tell me what happens to the company when they go on strike?

    Two reasons prices go down:

Prices go down as demand goes down. Or, they go down because production costs go down (eg, when jobs are sent overseas, from deregulation, cutting corners/lower product quality, govt subsidies, etc.). This allows mega-corporations to out-compete smaller companies...causing huge job losses.

Those people started their businesses in their garages and living rooms.

If they go on strike they are replaced with other workers.

So you admit workers aren't paid what they're worth. Now you're getting it.

You clearly do not understand economics. But somehow I knew that.

And that's where it would stay if it were not for laborers, socialist programs, taxpayer funded infrastructure, etc. That's why Obama said the following:

"I hear all this, you know, 'Well, this is class warfare, this is whatever.' No. There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own — nobody. You built a factory out there? Good for you. But I want to be clear. You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You were safe in your factory because of police-forces and fire-forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn't have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory — and hire someone to protect against this — because of the work the rest of us did. Now look, you built a factory and it turned into something terrific, or a great idea. God bless — keep a big hunk of it. But part of the underlying social contract is, you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along."

Yeah...sure...easy to do, eh? You have to train them first. Even with unskilled fruit pickers the strikes were very effective back during the days of Cesar Chavez's La Raza.

Oh no, Pocahontas quotes ??? BTW the wealth used to build the infrastructure cane from the wealth creators of the past. Government had nothing to do with it.

There are plenty of workers available. But as you know most strikes are settled by negotiations.

I understand capitalism is unsustainable and ill-suited & destructive to an advanced civilization and a planet of finite resources. This is what you don't understand.

If you think CEO's are "rugged individualists", then let's see them survive without depending on the labor of others.

The wealthy don't build wealth...they hoard & use it for self gain. Laborers produce EVERYTHING...including the printed money & credit cards you use daily.

If the govt (taxpayers) didn't pay for the construction & maintenance of our infrastructure, emergency services, the military, environmental protections, social programs, grade school education, Medicare/Medicaid, VA benefits....then who did?

Yeah...they HAVE to negotiate because it's cheaper than hiring NEW workers!

You mean paid as little as is legally possible. That's why business owners keep lobbying against wage increases.

CNN was caught red-handed they were sued for millions over slander.

We'll look at it in relative terms. Slate the guardian and CNN extremely far left and not reliable however your graph shows otherwise. So your graph cannot be trusted.

    @AFM

You need to understand why govt is so complacent & accepting of corporation corruption, expansion, environmental destruction, market domination, and destruction of small businesses.

It's because corporations are a tool of the ruling class/elites to take over the world & control its people & resources. They don't sit on a throne and chop people's heads off & use their troops for everything anymore. Today they use corporations. If the corporate method doesn't work...then troops are used.

    It's not rocket science.

A simple google search will turn up LOTS of lies & fake news from Fox. A book was even written all about Fox's assault on truth. Why do you insult yourself by defending Fox? Come on dude! You're smarter than that!

You must not be reading my posts. I'm not defending Fox news I don't care about Fox news. I'm pointing out the dishonesty of your chart and why nobody should trust it.

I know this is a crusade for you but go fight it with someone who's defending Fox news.

The wealthy are wealthy because they created wealth.

Taxpayers pay taxes resulting from their wealth production.

    Not in all cases.

Google it. I'm not doing your homework for you this time. If you don't know where the biggest lobbyists come from, then go educate yourself.

Very trivial parts of Obamacare were passed with reconciliation. Of course you get the story all bent out of shape. Most was passed with 60 votes. I still can't believe Massachusetts elected Scott Brown.

Google the only tax graph you need to know. Yes we do have a flat tax system. If you count all taxes everybody making any money pays 27% or so. The bottom quintile pays 18%. but the non-rich pay twice as much percentage wise in state and local taxes and payroll taxes etc etc etc. Read the damn article. Your obsession with the federal income taxes because the propaganda machine only talks about that. Pure misinformation.

Laborers build wealth through the production of goods/services.

Taxpayers pay taxes to fund social programs they depend on...not to hand it over to the rich & for-profit businesses.

The wealthy simply hoard wealth & seek to control as much of it as possible by controlling where it flows. If they start new businesses, it's not to benefit humanity, but to channel the flow of more of that money to themselves.

    Fair enough.

But you still have to provide evidence that Fox doesn't belong at near bottom position. Of course I know all the MSM sources have lied. But which one lies more often, or is more willing to present fake news without fact checking first? Telling me that CNN was caught in an occasional lie is no argument when Fox's MO is lying & fake news. Why do you think Shep Smith had to resign? Why is Chris Wallace & Judge Napolitano almost always at odds with the other pro-Trump talking heads & guests on Fox?
