Challenge to Democrats/Leftists: If you believe climate change is an existential crisis, prove it

    Lysenkoism. Climate Change.

Both are ideological. Climate change "science" shines when it calls skeptics "deniers" and when fools like Chuck Todd decide to further the debate by saying they're "Not Going To Give Time To Climate Deniers". When they politicize nonsense like climate-change-is-an-existential-crisis-leading-to-species-extinction, or ridiculous constructions like the hockey stick, climate change sinks under the weight of its implausibility and failure.

I never said "extinction". But we now have 4 billion people who may be directly impacted and trillions of dollars of infrastructure. So by pretending
it doesn't exist until the last second, we vastly increase the cost and chaos involved in dealing with it.

And what's the worst that happens if science is not completely correct? We get cleaner air, cleaner water, more sustainable energy and fisheries and
we're better prepared for environmental problems like storms and fires. Capeesh?

You can't read the one that I specifically cited to? It's "too hard" to read it?

Should I quote the entire thing to make it easier for you?

"There's a lot of other stuff at that site that's linked, but not part of what you linked to! That's too hard to figure out!"

Sigh. It's the Left and Democrats claiming it's an existential crisis (as in leading to extinction). If you're in either of those categories, you should be aware that your people think we're going to die from climate change pretty soon.

As for who'll be impacted, throwing around billions of people as if you had a clue how many it really is is kinda dishonest. We can engineer our way out any water level problem, and extreme weather requires decent planning.

What you're really saying is that we need to get as many of the world's inhabitants up to First World status so they can take advantage of technology. And behold!:

Extreme Poverty about to drop to lowest levels ever
The last 30 years have seen the single largest improvement in the human condition the world has ever known. Fewer kids dying, more people who can read and write, people living longer, and a drop in extreme poverty from half the world's population back in 1981 (when the World Bank first started collecting this data) to now less than 10%.
    Thank you, capitalism.

    Yes, science is "liberal".

    What a cop out.

Are you going to read my source, or just claim that's too hard to read because of the links there?

Oh dear. I know what it all means, which is why I know that most of it doesn't apply. I was just giving you a face-saving way to seem knowledgable. But you chose the favorite tool of the left: snark.

I did get a chortle out of your link: did you notice what wasn't mentioned? Why, CO2's warming being logarithmic, and a doubling of CO2 concentration only leading to a 1 degree C of warming when just the CO2 is considered.

It's just one more proof that climate science does its best to hide those facts. Hide the decline. Hide the low temp increase. They're all about hiding stuff.

It's not the left. It's scientists, research labs, photographic and video teams, NASA, just about every university the world over ... you know, those
people who brought you the advances in technology and medicine who save the kids. Those are the people who are concerned about climate change.

    *LOL*

What point are you trying to make?

That it’s more gradual than, well, what? That it’s not really happening? That man isn’t accelerating it? That some random guy on the internet who views science as an ideological exercise is smarter than real scientists?

What to say about this reply? Point out how ironic it is, in that you expect a really clever bit of science with facts and everything to take down this right-winger who thinks he knows about climate change...and instead there’s nothing.

Or just laugh at the smug arrogance implicit in such an empty message?

    I choose both.

I agree that quoting me is the best way you’ve found to sound authoritative. But I doubt the strategy will work for you over the long term.

Zoom in on the part we care about and it looks more like a straight line.

I think everyone can see that you still don’t understand what’s being discussed here. Sad.

The part you care about is where they wave hands and magically turn a 1 degree C increase from just the doubling of CO2 into at least 1.5 degrees C which has to be including feedbacks. As I said, they hide stuff.

    Oh, I do.

You’ve got some ****ed up notion that you’ve debunked real scientists with ideological bilge and non-responsive pretend cackling.

    It’s not working.

Respond to my post. Chop chop.

Fellas, did you know that “the Sun” effects climate?

    No. Your turn.

    Hop to.

Tell me how “the Sun” is one of the culprits in climate change, for starters.

    Are you hangry?

This could be why you mistake political pretend science for real science.

Get a Snickers and then respond to the real science in my link.
