    Well, I'm not sure I can go that far... According to that Eruzione/Yahoo article, the entire hat thing wasn't pre-planned and 4 of the players chose not to put them on as they went on stage.

    The Black Sox cheated on purpose.

    Disgraced for sure, but not on that level...

    Still, Eruzione (and the rest of 1980's Boys of Winter) needed to be more conscious of the potential blowback.

    It was either really clueless, really naive, or really stupid.

    That's a nice post to the wrong person in the wrong thread... you do realize Eruzione is essentially admitting making a mistake, correct?

    Although, since I find the words 'apologize', 'sorry', and 'mistake' conspicuously missing, he only gets light credit here.

    Still, it's rare enough to see people cognizant that some actions have consequences...

    Sounds like there were a few more titty babies out there who thought the Hockey team had no right to wear a red hat. But these same people, and you, would praise them if they showed up to a democrat's rally. Double standards aren't popular anymore, might want to reevaluate your position and learn to let things go when you don't like them.
