Doesn't Sanders struggle to explain exactly how it will be paid for?

Wouldn't you prefer to pay less, to get better?

Okay, Chris appeared on the air and he belly crawled for Sanders and the self-righteous political Left. It was awesome. I guess being a MSNBC host means never having had . . . a . . . spine.

    https://thehill.com/homenews/campai...anders-for-comparing-victory-to-nazi-invasion

Note, however, that it's still okay for Chris to call Trump and everyone Right of Center a Nazi.

The resistance to proper healthcare in the US is, indeed, the math involved, but it is the math done by those who presently profit from the system in place and their lobbyists, not the people who are concerned with proper healthcare.

Interesting to see all the RWers here all get outraged. So you guys trigger that easily?
Blitzkrieg and Maginot Line have been used for about 70 years as an analogy to describe rapid, overwhelming, and unexpected victories.
I understand that our sensibilities are changing with time, and will certainly be more mindful of other people's sensibilities about these issues.
Delighted to see that the RWers here will be doing the same.

Triggered? How so? This is pure unadulterated pleasure watching the left eating their own.

    Better? From our government?

You have got to be joking, crank. Why in the world would I want to give the most corrupt, politicized, inefficient and incompetent entity in the United States - the federal government - control over my HI/HC?

I'm not paying a lot for my HI/HC right now and I'm perfectly happy with the care I've received over the years. I'm not even remotely interested in what Sanders & Co. are selling.

There is absolutely nothing to support the assumption that our government will deliver better HI/HC for less, but given Washington's track record I have every reason to presume that it will deliver inferior HI/HC at greater expense and less choice.

    No thanks.

He struggled to explain exactly how any of his ideas would be paid for, with that said, he's been open about the fact that taxes will go up, the only dispute I have is that he think's we'll be happy to pay more taxes in exchange for benefits, I certainly will not be happy to make that trade.

In this exchange, which I find comical, is that he's going to raise my taxes $500 but save me $5000, ya right, I've only seen a pig fly once and that was in a geico commercial.

The reason why he wont get into specifics on how to pay for all this is he knows damn well the middle class would have to be taxed highly as well...

He only has to keep his voting base ignorant for a few more months.

    Really? Are you being obtuse?

He was comparing the decisive turnout in favor of Sanders to the German swift and decisive conquest of France. Nothing to do with calling anyone a Nazi.

    Agree 100% here.

I remember someone suggesting this a few weeks back, (and of course bernie believes this as well) and the person said that nobody likes their health care and only a crazy person would prefer the private alternatives, which was WAY off base with my experience and those experiences of the vast majority of people I talk to and work with. Note: i'm in the insurance biz so this does come up quite often so i'm not just tossing out my random opinion and extrapolating it to the masses.

I help my parents out with their medicare stuff (mid 70's lots of assorted misc medical stuff going on) and their Medicare stuff is a nightmare to deal with compared to what I have dealt with when dealing with UHC, Aetna, Blue cross, night and day difference. The privates aren't perfect, but very much preferred over medicare IMO.

IMO those issues will be pointed out pretty clearly if he wins the nomination, his ideas haven't been fully vetted because he hasn't made it far enough for it to be necessary, he was pushing the same ideas in 2016 but vetting wasn't needed, the media knew that Hillary was going to win the nomination so it was brushed aside.

I hope so, but not sure, politics has become more of a team sport, where if the guy deflating the ball is on ones home team, it's defendable and not cheating.. it's the perfect ball

both Corporitism and Socialism have different meanings to different people

a Country where the rich and Corporations by the laws and do not care about the working class is corporatism

Corporations are selling this country out for a buck, foreign outsourcing, foreign imports, automation and soon AI

I'm sorry sir, but you are simply misusing the word.

    Read again:

advocates the organization of society by corporate groups, such as agricultural,
    labour,
    military,
    scientific, or
    guild associations
on the basis of their common interests
    .

yep, people just have to remember to take what America spends today on healthcare and subtract what we would spend under medicare for all, you can't just count one side of the equation

if I pay an extra 1000 in taxes, but no longer have to buy health insurance, I still come out ahead - to just say I am paying more taxes does not look at the big picture

plus it means if one loses their job, would still have health care, if broke their legs, had cancer, whatever, still have health care - what is that worth?

the best part of Medicare for all is that it cost America less as a whole then private care and everyone is covered

you are misusing the work socialism, that is the point

    words have many meanings

Corporitism is as I describe it and it's harming America

one can be like the guy that when someone says "that is cool", tells them they are misusing the word "cool", but it still has the meaning regardless as people know what they are saying

language evolves over time, meanings change
