You offer an opinion but you ignore our historically great economy helped by Trump' policies. The entire world has envied the USA ever since we saved the world in WW2 and became a super power in both the military and our economy. Trump doesn't worry about other countries, he puts the USA first, just like other countries put themselves first. I say let the loser countries laugh.

I know you do, and as you highlighted with your prior post, including when referring to Veterans as veterinarians, you live in an alt-reality

The USA is losing respect globally as the result of Bonespurs' stupidity and incompetence.

    https://www.theguardian.com/comment...-trump-america-global-reputation-all-time-low

"It is hard to overstate how badly Trump has hurt America’s worldwide reputation. US presidents have been internationally unpopular before – George W Bush over Iraq, for example, or LBJ over Vietnam. But Trump has sunk to an all-time low.

Opinion surveys reveal the negative impact on US global standing. A 25-nation Pew survey last year found, overall, that 70% of respondents had no confidence in Trump’s leadership. While a majority still held a favourable view of the US, unfavourable views were up sharply from the Obama era. About 70% said the US under Trump did not take sufficient account of the of the interests of other countries and was doing less to address international problems.

Trump won’t be around forever. But this collapse in trust may have lasting, long-term implications for transatlantic ties. A survey of 60,000 people in 14 EU member states published this fall by the European Council on Foreign Relations found most Europeans “no longer believe the US can serve as a guarantor of their security”. Europe and America risk drifting even further apart in 2020.

Not all this angst can be laid at Trump’s door. But his personal hostility to the EU and individual European leaders, his denigration of Nato, his bypassing of his own intelligence agencies and state department, his collaboration with Russia’s Vladimir Putin, and his willingness to betray staunch allies such as Syria’s Kurds are undoubtedly stoking fears about US reliability in security matters. Trump’s hope of scoring a big pre-election foreign policy “success” adds to the general nervousness.

The US under Trump’s baleful tutelage is not only losing influence and respect. It is also, increasingly, a source of and contributor to global woes and instabilities. His unilateral, nationalistic, self-defeating approach threatens deepening trouble across the board next year.

How much longer Nato can last as a coherent force, given Trump’s relentless antipathy, is an open question

Unresolved issues around Iran’s and North Korea’s nuclear ambitions are one obvious 2020 flashpoint. Trump’s interventions to date have made matters worse. Now mounting anger and frustration in both countries could bring tensions to a head. In Iran’s case, such escalation may quickly draw in Saudi Arabia and Israel – and Turkey too, given Trump’s craven appeasement of Ankara after its invasion of Syria.

How much longer Nato can last as a coherent force, given Trump’s relentless antipathy, is an open question. It is one Russia will be constantly testing as it expands its influence in the Middle East, builds up its conventional and nuclear forces, and intimidates neighbors such as Ukraine and the Baltic states.

Another fraught 2020 issue is whether a worldwide recession can be avoided as Trump pursues his trade vendetta with China, market confidence falls and debt levels (including the projected $1tn 2020 US deficit) rise. Judging by his recent belligerence, Mike Pompeo, America’s undiplomatic chief diplomat, appears determined to trigger a new cold war with Beijing. Harsh words could easily turn to blows over Hong Kong, Taiwan and the South China Sea."

There's been enough evidence shown to everyone that Trump's economy was riding a wave created by
You and other Trump supporters continue to refute and deny the fact that the economic wave took a steep uptick under Barack Obama in 2009 and has continued in that upward projection since that year. But you also fail to mention the fact that despite having a robust economy, Trump's policies have created an additional one trillion dollars of national debt.

Trump has always tried to downplay the role that President Obama had in stabilizing our economy after a completely devastating recession created by G.W. Bush. This growing economy is a key element that Trump is using for his reelection narrative, but it's a false narrative. The United States has added jobs in each month since July 2009 while maintaining positive economic growth, shattering a record for the longest stretch of prosperity in U.S. history. Trump is benefiting from the impact of Obama’s economic policies and the Federal Reserve’s maintenance of low interest rates throughout both of their terms in office.

As far as pumping billions of dollars into the military, I will ask you one question -- Why? Simply put, military might is easy to acquire and it’s self-protected from scrutiny. If you speak out against the military budget, then we get to play the “link game” where we go down the list of things you’re supposedly against. Against an exorbitant military budget, you’re against the military, which means you’re against soldiers, which means you’re against veterans, which means you’re disrespectful of veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Even when it’s pretty obvious that you’re not against any of those things, that’s the psychological “unspoken word” on the matter that is used as an undertone to silence those opposing. It is a self-protecting sale. It’s easy to shout down and shame opponents.

Yes, I know each and every item that Trump has listed and each one is either half-truth or lies. You're the one that refuses to accept facts.

No they are not. And Trump is a joke among world leaders. They laugh at him but thankfully do not consider the American people to be as ignorant, dictatorial and harmful as he is.

what on that list was a lie? Yes,many on the world stage, n particular Putin, don't like him.

He breaks norms with some of our allies too....making them put up their own money, and pushing for better trade relations for America. That's certainly true.

A lot of world letters certainly thought we were pretty ignorant, allowing someone like Obama become President, which allowed them to take advantage of us....now they see Sanders out there, praising Castro's policies....and leading the nomination for the DNC, and they laugh...with glee

Yes...most won't care about an opinion piece from last year, about a poll from the year before.

Trump Ratings Remain Low Around Globe, While Views of U.S. Stay Mostly Favorable
Trump foreign policies receive little support

    https://www.pewresearch.org/global/...obe-while-views-of-u-s-stay-mostly-favorable/

As has been the case throughout his presidency, U.S. President Donald Trump receives largely negative reviews from publics around the world. Across 32 countries surveyed by Pew Research Center, a median of 64% say they do not have confidence in Trump to do the right thing in world affairs, while just 29% express confidence in the American leader.

Anti-Trump sentiments are especially common in Western Europe: Roughly three-in-four or more lack confidence in Trump in Germany, Sweden, France, Spain and the Netherlands. He also gets especially poor reviews in Mexico, where 89% do not have confidence in him.

In nearly all nations where trends are available, Trump receives lower ratings than his predecessor, Barack Obama. As reported by the Center in 2017, international confidence in the U.S. president plummeted after Trump’s inauguration, while favorable ratings for the United States also declined.

His popularity is rising...that's a great sign....as well as the USA favorable rating...great....not surprised once his policies got into place.

As i stated earlier, I'm really not surprised to see some key EU nations really not liking him...specifically Germany...where we have highlighted their close ties to Putin, which undermines NATO, as well as their lack of aid to allies.
