Sanders-Warren ticket beating Trump-Pence, 48%-45%

Nobody I know wants the US to become Venezuela.

Have you nothing serious to offer? Is your position really that petty and desperate?

 

Warren -- for all her lunacy -- is the more mentally stable of the pair and the nearest to being grounded in reality. I think that most people to the Left of Center recognize that fact. They just don't like or respect her enough to want her as president -- but to be fair that is because their MSM hasn't yet TOLD them that they actually DO like and respect her that much.

 

Warren is a bit nerdy, but she has many good ideas, especially as to Wall Street.

Call me a sentimental fool, but I think Tulsi Gabbard would be the better choice as VP

 

Polls are an interesting snapshot in time, more than they are predictive. They usually start with the assumption, "If the election were held today...", but the election isn't being held today.

Tonight is the next debate in South Carolina. Bernie will be the full-on target, giving Bloomberg a reprieve. If Warren has a strong showing tonight, she could continue a bit of a comeback. Will she join in the attack against Bernie? It will be interesting.

 

What the Left wants and what they end up getting is not under their control. Leftists inside Russia did not want the Soviet Union that their useful idiocy caused to come into being, The revolutionaries of China did not want the vision of paradise that Mao Tse Tung rammed into being. The people of Venezuela did not want to be eating out of dumpsters. The Left doesn't always -- or usually -- end up getting what they actually wanted as a result of their schemes. It would be nice if only THEY suffered as a result instead of the entire nation.

 

That would be a canny move because it would appeal to rightwing moderates.

However having her as Secretary of Defense would be another position she could fill.

 

To young adults with $100k in college loan debt, a candidate promising to abolish their debt is difficult to resist.

To older adults facing the challenge of funding college for their 2.5 teenage children, a candidate promising free college is very enticing.

Do not discount the power of people willing to sell their vote for empty promises of a short term windfall that will most likely never materialize.

All these promises are, are bad checks that will bounce on anyone who is foolish enough to take them.

 

Are they going to take those results as final, or are they still going to hold the election in November?

Most of the whores in Vietnam in the '60s got into the business via their parents selling them to a respected pimp for short term debt relief.

 

Like voting for tax cuts that were promised to give everyone $4,000 more annually in their pocket? That kind of foolishness?

Sadly, this is what Trumpism is reducing the American electorate to: Elect me, and you'll be all rich. Elect my opponent, and you'll be all poor.

More like elect Trump you will get a continuation of the Trump economy. Elect Bernie you will get a transformation to a Venezuelan economy and there are people in America that would be fine with that.

 

Kind of like bringing back the manufacturing jobs?

If those two get in I suggest we all start to keep a map of which neighbors have the chubbiest cats so when we run out of food we know where to get a meal.

 

That's exactly what I said, just substitute the dog whistles of "Trump economy" for rich and "Venezuela" for poor.

BTW: You can scream Commie, Stalin, Cuba, Venezuela, Marxist until the election all you want, all that is doing is desensitizing potential Sanders voters.

Also, don't complain when the other side ramps up the rhetoric too, labeling Trump has Hitler, Nazi, racist etc. It takes two to tango.

 

It wont matter paying off their debt! Under a socialist or Democrat president they will remain jobless and poor! That's why those candidates always run on "Cradle to grave" gubmint welfare programs..

 

Rough times for the leftist organization.. Maybe they would have better luck putting up "Help Wanted" posters for a President around tent cities and Home depot in Spanish too, so the illegals might have a go at it

Bernie, the old man that he is, needs a young person to be his VP. Someone to take care of matters like giving the state-of-the-union speech from a letter penned by Bernie Sanders. Warren looks young but she isn't so.

 

I've heard Bernie praise Castro, feel free to tell me when Trump praises Hitler.

Provided Sanders wins, which still isn't certain, and he picks Warren, which is even less certain, then there are still dozens of issues that haven't been discussed or that Bernie hasn't been held to account for yet. These polls are sort of silly, its too early, and too much can happen between now and the nomination, much less the actual election. Democrats should be extra wary of such nonsense after the Hillary fail of 2016, but instead they are gobbling this stuff up. So sad...
