Trump would get the blame if the sun exploded, well right before we all died anyways.

Answer one question. How the hell is anyone going to control the millions upon millions of people that travel in and out of the United States every single day LEGALLY?

Why are YOU so confused about this elementary question? Use some logic, use some critical thinking man.

Because we don't have laws dictating such on state borders, national borders we do have laws.

And American citizens have rights in America than non citizens do not.

It would be prudent for all people to stock up on about months worth of supplies.

You honestly make zero sense. And your treading into negative sense territory quickly.

In a sense, I think that is correct. The corona isn't as bad as the Ebola, but Trump still should have shut down all international flights sooner, closed the ports to cruise ships that had landed at foreign ports, made foreign merchant seamen remain on their ships in port, made American merchant seamen remain on their ships in port, and closed the borders except for movement of goods in trade.

The virus, besides China, and South Korea, has also hit Iran and Italy the hardest, while spreading to many other areas. This virus isn't as fatal as some others, with low fatality rates mostly among people compromised immune systems and such, but it look like a virus that spreads more easily, both being quite infection and because its initial symptoms remain latent, with ordinarily a two-week non-symptomatic period before people fall ill. Which means that even low fatality rates for the virus can still end up with huge fatality figures. In fact, one (hopefully alarmist) expert is saying that the virus will probably end up infecting up to 70% of the world's population.

There is a potential new vaccine which is looking for people to test it and if my memory serves me well it is in the US. It is using a totally different technique which has never been tried before which is why it has developed so quick. Cannot remember the details but it manages to cut out the part that usually makes it take so long to create viruses by getting the bodies of the people it is testing to go through that process. Could be available in just a few months.

Not just one, very early on someone who I was following thought it could hit 100%. The RO is the disputed area currently being officially put at 2.3 though he projected it could be 3-4%. At 4% it could affect the entire world.

The biggest potential problem at the moment is getting sufficient hospital beds. Most people who die at the moment are over 60 with other medical conditions, diabetes and lung and heart problems. However about 15% of those infected need hospital treatment and 5% of them end up in intensive care. Where hospitals become overwhelmed and unable to treat people the death toll is expected to be much higher and of course unless changes are made pronto that will affect the people of the US without health insurance who no doubt will carry on infecting others.,

There is also of course the concern that the virus may change. Apparently the Spanish flue on its first run was quite mild but then it changed.

There is also concern that some people may be being re-infected and it being much worse the second time- that is instead of their body building up immunity - the 'immunity' makes it more deadly. There are viruses which already do this and the attempt at a virus for Sars did this but this is something to keep your eye out about, not to get scared about yet.

I was thinking about you and Iran. Iran is seen as the next major place and almost certainly has far more cases than have been reported or suddenly the virus has changed and is killing a whole lot more and quicker than before. I think Iran needs help pronto due to the sanctions she has been suffering and if the US has its way will continue to suffer.

Ebola is a lot harder to catch than COVID-19, but the lethality is 25%-90% depending on the strain. That means the epidemic that killed 11,000 in 2014 had less than half the number of cases COVID-19 is already at.

Completely closing the borders of the US is one of those things that sounds like a great idea if you aren't especially bright and will never, ever have to make even a tiny part of that decision. It sounds great in an internet debate - "I have a simple answer and if the government has to do it now!!!"

Having no responsibility for important things is fun, just not very useful.

Actually it is you who is not making any sense. You have been stating that the low number of illegals from Mexico is more of a threat that the millions of times more legal people entering the US coming from all over the world.

What would be non political? One thing for sure if the media starts blaming Trump, Obama isn't going to grab the mike and claim he did it.

You know the legal ones go thru a controlled entry point and the illegal ones do not right? Key word being controlled. If you don’t think having controlled entry points can help contain the spread of a virus then i can not help you see that fact any clearer than i have.

Who knew that allowing your people to eat bats, live baby mice and other assorted wild animals might be an issue some day?
