It's his book not mine and he's still making them and trying to couch previous ones. And to compare to a private conversations about women wanting to have sex with someone is laughable at best. And if he won't be able to change those things and institute his policies then why vote for him?
Stacy Abrams is a joke and to even think of putting a failed politician who now goes around whining about her loss and nothing more is absurd. Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrell.
You're deliberately missing the point but don't worry, people voting for him won't do that. His Cuba comments might have an effect in certain parts of Florida but as to the rest of the country, meh, not so much. Cuba was big news in the early 1960s. Many of the people voting in this election will have grandparents who were born around that time. They just won't remember why it was ever controversial. You might consider the comparison between Bernie's comments and Trump's ***** tape laughable but I think that's an indicator of quite how much out of touch you are with the mindset of certain voters these days. That's what I meant by the old book. To get Trump out of the White House and install someone who's basically sane?
There's people from Cuba elsewhere than Florida, a key swing state, and people who have lived in other socialist/communist countries all across the country. Sander's lifelong comments are going to come back to haunt him and as they say when your are having to explain you are already losing. Trump's private conversations about private personal matters with consenting adults has nothing to do with Sanders supporting socialist/communist oppressive dictatorial regimes and saying we should be more like them and that you are so desperate that is all you have is quite telling.
Yes I know but maybe not in sufficient concentration to affect the overall vote tally. Further they might be politically astute enough to realize that Sanders never lauded the Castro regime, he just honestly said that some of the things they implemented were not necessarily bad things. I despise Trump but I agree with him when he tries to get things done on infrastructure or prescription drug prices. See how easy it is to employ a little nuance. More and more people are grasping the ability to do this. Yet again, black and white thinking is going out of style. There are plenty of (especially younger) people that get that his ambitions are to have social programs that are closer to other successful nations like Denmark or Germany who enjoy thriving economies but are still capable of delivering affordable healthcare and education to their citizens. Some people are getting that distinction and realizing that, in their opinion, that's not so bad. Our economy may be booming but plenty of people are still struggling with healthcare costs, student loans etc. so they're looking for viable alternatives to keep-on-keeping-on. I'm sure a lot of people voted for Trump for the same reason: promises of better cheaper healthcare that would cover everybody, return of jobs to desolate areas of manufacture and the revival of the coal industry etc. None of that seems to have happened to any significant degree so this time, maybe the'll believe Bernie's promises over Trumps? I don't see him explaining that much,he seems to be taking the "shoot someone on 5th avenue" approach and doubling down on what he said kinda like DJT? He didn't do that and neither did he write "love letters" to the North Korean dictator, one of the most oppressive, dictatorial regimes on the planet. You're obviously involved in a completely different conversation than me. I'm just offering some opinions on what I think is a vastly different political landscape than you (and probably me too) are used to dealing with. You're assuming a lot. I'm not a Bernie fan particularly but if he's the ticket I'll vote for him. I'd vote for John Kasich or Jon Huntsman if the Republicans would ever put up someone like that but, I fear, it's going to be a long time before they will do that again and their demographic is shrinking not growing.
If he chooses Hillary........ would he be somewhat safer politically or........ not exactly??????????????? IF.... Hillary comes back will Bernie supporters vote for her this time? Oh.... I am almost certain that you will want to weigh in on this one due to the Canadian factor already evident? Good advice for Bernie Sanders from Rabbi Shaul Praver.
I think, I have worked with many Cubans who escape Castro's brutal regime, they are astute enough to take Sanders at his word and know exactly what he has said about Castro and the Cuban government. I can't stand him either and didn't vote for him. But he IS the President. I support his policies and certainly can't find ANYONE on the Democrat side I would support over those policies. Well it IS pretty black and white between us and socialist countries to which Sanders to would attempt to put on a path. And Trump has accomplished things on healthcare, manufacturing has grown, we have a glut of good paying jobs, wages and salaries are up ESPECIALLY for the lower income brackets and people's lives are better for the majority. What is Sanders going to do to improve my life and be specific. I think the DNC already has political ads ready to run with his past statements and they will be convincing and Sanders will have to spend a great deal of time esplaining them and when you are esplaining you are losing. Yea he did in the tapes and yes he is NEGOTIATING with NK, you play these games. Do you realize the dichotomy in your statement. How could anyone who would support the conservative positions of Kasich and Huntsman ever support a Sanders even over a Trump who is by FAR closer to Kasich's and Huntsman's policies than Sanders?
No Hillary is a creature of the amoral. And too many voters will refuse to vote for her because of . . Next Question FROM @DennisTate AND - Yes I believe in an Autonomous Nova Scotia. Labrador too . . . . Does @DennisTate ? And Sanders too for thread topic sake.
Whoever's his choice forever taints themselves as a socialist shill. No capitalist or patriot is going to base their vote on a VP...
Not likely. Abrams is a complete joke. She got mad that she couldn't cheat to win and acted like an angry child when she lost.
He already stated he would not pick a white male on his ticket... (seems bitter about the Holocaust) I will still vote for him... over trump but much prefer a man of principle and forgiveness like Sir Bloomberg
The most important requirement of a Vice-President, despite the fact that most will never need to fulfill it, is to be able to fill in as President. Of course, it is also desirable for the VP to be on the same page, vision-wise, as the President. The obvious choice (so long as the campaign doesn't sour their relationship ) is Elizabeth Warren. Her experience, credentials, & clearly demonstrated competence makes her undeniably qualified. This choice would also yield strategic benefit: suburban women have been cited as a demographic w/ which Sanders could use improvement, and electing the 1st woman VP should provide motivation for this group. Some will say that an all-white ticket is undesirable, that Sanders ( in this hypothetical ) should pick a black or Hispanic person to share the ticket. This would be fine, also, BUT ( & please allow me to explain, feminists, before you attack ) it would then have to be a man. If the 1st Jewish nominee from a major party were to choose not just a woman ( which, if they won, would be another 1st ) but a black or Hispanic or Asian woman, with the man at the top of the ticket, let's not forget, also being the 1st Socialist standard-bearer for a major party, I'm afraid the unenlightened truth is that, for too many, that ticket would seem like a joke ( cf. the 2016 Jill Stein ticket ).
