Joe Biden, one of the leaders in the Democrat party race, appears to be the subject of a criminal investigation in Ukraine.

I wonder if they will call it a witch hunt?

It looks like the Democrats attempt to pressure the Ukrainians is backfiring.

Yep; the Dem's former vice president brags about having bribed the Ukrainian government and then the political Left impeached Trump over Biden's open corruption and then those same political leftists are shocked -- shocked I say! -- when the unhappy Ukrainian government decided to open an investigation into the corruption scheme -- admitted to by Biden -- when those same political Leftists are always HOWLING that Trump should always be investigated for . . . everything. We have got a fine crop of irony this growing season. It looks to be about ready for harvesting.

Gosh it reminds one of all those Trump/Coronavirus threads started by the same group of leftists all ANGRY about the same things . . . essentially how Trump's early responses almost perfectly mirrored Obama's.

I just have little confidence that Republicans will actually do anything about it.

    Nah.

    Nobody believes that.

Anyway, hopefully we can get a third thread going so we can recycle this copypasta for a 3rd Time?

    That, and "It's All Obama's Fault".:bored:

So Trump's People are realizing that Biden is once again becoming a threat, and the RW Outrage Machine has moved away from Bernie and is back around to targeting Biden?

    Anyway, Biden should be overjoyed.

Trump's people are (once again) clearly terrified of Biden.

In any event, if any crimes were committed, I am sure that Biden will face the full weight of justice.

Does Ukraine have the Death Penalty?

That said, feel free to get back to me when they actually get a Conviction.

(Which is sure to follow after a high-profile arrest that forces Biden to drop out).

    Until then?:bored:

(Still, I would not want to lose track of this major developing story that is more significant than the first reports of 9/11/):flagus:

It's so cool that our political Left apparently thinks that Trump controls the Ukrainian government while working for Putin. Shall we pause to let the irony of THAT seep through brain cells?

Trump's people? What are you trying to say here? You think the Ukrainian investigators are Trump's people?

It's pretty simple. Democrats understand that the only way the public will not re elect the president is for them to fan the flames of fear, to chicken little the economy to death so that it appears that voters might not have any choice but to elect them, (cause they would have done something....which is entirely laughable... to stop the spread).

Ask democrats what they would do. Make them be specific. Which air travel would they suspend, which countries would they disallow travel to, how will or would they protect the country given their refusal to secure our boarders. They have no answers. It just takes some media to have the stones to call them out for their obvious hypocrisy and dishonesty.

Opened at the insistence of the guy who got fired. This means nothing, except an opportunity for Trumpsters to slander Biden.

Meanwhile, they turn a blind eye to the corrupt Dirty Donny.

I think a lot of us saw this thing backfiring on the Dems a long time ago. If there's a silver lining for Dems it's that Biden's campaign is already circling the drain...

Huh. So the Prosecutor Shokin who as removed by his own countries Parlimentary Vote, 3 months after Biden left (Biden was there in Dec, they finally removed him in March), asked to have this investigation open.

So what is the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations? Well lets look.

Oh fancy that. Because of the Anti-Corruption reforms backed by the International Community (Biden among them) that ended up deposing Shokin,.... well I'll let this explain it

Shokin asked for the investigation, the Police or Prosecutors office refused to open a case stating that there was no criminal offense, and so Shokin filed a claim, which FORCES the addition of the claim to the Pre-Trial investigations and start an investigation.

They literally have to do this because of the reforms. So Shokin is basically playing more shell games to try and get himself outta trouble and blame it all on Biden using the current chaos in the US Political System to help himself.

    What a joke lol.

Have any of your ever picked up a piece of wood from wood pile? It appears that's what we are doing now, with the Obama Admin, and we are seeing just what you'd think you'd see...worms, and bugs running around ducking their heads.....the ugliness of this corrupt Admin is being exposed to the light.

So in Ukraine anyone can get any investigation they want simply by asking for one?

The case was opened under Part 2 of Article 343 (on the charge of interfering in the work of an official of a law enforcement agency), he said.

Seems Biden broke one of their laws heck he bragged about it..

No one is above the law!

OH: Leaked Audio of Joe Biden’s Ukraine ‘Quid Pro Quo’ Call Destroys MSM Narrative About Shokin’s Ouster.

Trying To Remember Why He's Standing Here Talking.

Joe Biden admitted to the quid pro quo already, we have video evidence of him bragging about it, but newly leaked audio tells us that Biden pushed for the ouster of Ukrainian Prosecutor General Shokin, despite there being no evidence of wrongdoing against him.

“Yesterday I met with the General Prosecutor, Shokin,” then-Ukrainian President Poroshenko is heard saying on the call.

    “Yes,” Biden acknowledged.

Poroshenko continued, “And despite the fact that we did not have any corruption charges, we don’t have any information about him doing something wrong… I special asked him to resign…”

Poroshenko then explained that despite the fact Shokin had the support of parliament, that he was able to get Shokin to give a statement of resignation, which he provided to Poroshenko an hour later.

    “Great,” Biden said.

“This is my second step of keeping my promises,” said Poroshenko.

    “I agree,” Biden replied.

Biden has said he was simply carrying out the “official policy” of the Obama administration to root out corruption in Ukraine. “It was a fully transparent policy carried out in front of the whole world and fully, fully embraced by the international community of democracies.” But, that explanation is undermined by this recording since then-Ukrainian President Poroshenko admitted in the phone call that they had nothing on Shokin in terms of corruption.

Shokin’s only crime seems to be that he was investigating Burisma Holdings, where Joe’s son Hunter Biden, served on the board, reportedly making over $80,000 a month. Shokin has previously claimed that Poroshenko told him not to investigate Burisma because it was not in the best interests of Joe and/or Hunter Biden. According to Rudy Giuliani’s notes of his meeting with Shokin, “Mr. Shokin was called into Mr. Poroshenko’s office and told that the investigation into Burisma and the Managing Director where Hunter Biden is on the board, has caused Joe Biden to hold up one billion dollars in U.S. aid to Ukraine.”

In a separate call, Biden can be heard congratulating the then-Ukrainian president for installing a new prosecutor general and then explaining to him that the billion-dollar loan can move forward.

“And I’m a man of my word,” Biden said. “And now that the new Prosecutor General is in place, we’re ready to move forward to signing that one billion dollar loan guarantee.”
