For years Trump has been warning us about China. But the USA is still resilient, strong, inventive, prosperous, and industrious, so there is no reason to bail out of the Market. Ride it out and then watch it come back or sell now and take a loss forever. Those who fear the market should stay out of the Market.

 

Investors are a fickle lot but we'll survive this as the world will survive this manufactured crisis. I'm sorry but 82000 does not make a pandemic, maybe it would be in the third world but not for the rest of civilization. Every time the democrats fail at something the media trots out something sensational to either take our eye off the ball or try to make Trump look bad. I've no doubt that the Corona thing is real but only an epidemic in a small area of China.

Clearly, you do not understand investing in the stock market.

If you're investing say, $500/month, into a stock-based IRA or 401K, now is the time to increase that investment per month. Because that investment buys more stock while prices are down than it does when prices are up.

When the Corona Virus scare is over - a vaccine is developed or when the virus is contained - stock prices are going to SHOOT right back up, and you will have a more valuable investment than you would have had if the virus had never happened because you will own more stock than you would have at the higher prices if there had been no virus driving the prices down.

Buy low, own more, make more money.

Easy peezy.

 

The stock market and banking system have been 100% dependent on Fed interventions since 2008.
The Fed simply unwinding half a Trillion dollars from its books tanked the markets in 2018.
