He needs to occupy a position far more consequential than being Mayor of South Bend if he truly wants to win the presidency one day in the future. Perhaps he can carpet bag for a Democrat Senatorial seat somewhere. I would not doubt that the DNC perhaps promised to insert him in such a seat in exchange for him getting out of the race quickly.

Definitely some deal will be struck. Whether he ever does become president the DNC will definitely want him to be able to run as a viable contender in the future.

He had a pretty good run for someone that has only been a mayor.

It definitely did not hurt that he belonged to a Politically Correct demographic. Hell back in 2008 having a cool speaking voice and a chic skin tone was enough for the political Left to propel a fellow into the Oval Office. Buttigieg DID have a chance to at least end up going toe-to-toe against Trump . . . which says all that needs to be said about the over all mental health and political priorities of the Dem Party itself.

Good catch. Did he ever go outside the wire?

Pet Buttigieg is the most promising political figure to come along since Obama. He has rock star potential. Sharp as a tack politically obvious big I.Q., ex-military, and great stage presence. His biggest negative is he's relatively unknown and he's very young. Did he cut deal to drop out? I'm sure he did. Word on the street is that Klobuchar and Warren were either unreasonable or stubborn. Big mistake IMHO. So much for woman on the ticket unless Harris makes an appearance.

Will Buttigieg pick up a VP slot under Joe Biden? Possibly. That skirts the age issue on both ends. Very neat. Does gay matter? It didn't seem to. He even introduced his SO to the public on three occasions. He's not just out of the closet, he's on stage as a gay candidate.

If he doesn't get the VP slot there has to be a Senate race somewhere. 2022 is probably his next shot. This, of course, is if Biden wins the nomination. If Bloomberg stalls out in super Tuesday, he would be wise to drop out rather than hurt Biden. Tuesday is a very big deal.

Many times. He is a captain in NR and was in command.

Correction -- Lieutenant. We Army guys are easily confused by Navy Ranks. He had command, but he wasn't a Commander. More confusion.

He'll follow instructions and endorse Biden. The take down of Bernie is underway. Now, they need to pray that Bernie doesn't win on the first ballot.

Did you hear where Bernie Bros threatened to burn cities if Trump wins in 2020? Can you imagine what the thugs will do if the Democrats steal another nomination from Bernie?

Cool. Looked it up. Guess he drove around Kabul a lot.

Pete is a good debater and orator, something we have not seen in a long time. I think he has a bright future if he wants to stay in national politics, which I think he does and should.

He didn't have a chance at the nomination and South Carolina was the wake up call.

Don't misunderstand. I like the guy a lot

He was third in delegate count and one of three to win a state.

He drove an SUV around Kabul is what I gather. Pretty short on details. Doesn’t matter. It’s his politics I don’t like anyway. He volunteered to serve his country, got to respect that. Not everyone is cut out to be a door kicker and there are other jobs that need doing. As long as he doesn’t use his service as a political weapon....which he’s been around the edges of for sure...but I’ve seen worse.
