Will this insane partisanship go away after 2020?

Not a hard question, we've been programmed by media to believe we are each others enemies.

It does sell "papers" papers being adverts these days but do you really believe you Trump supporting neighbor or the Bernie or bust guy is really the devil?

Or has Media led us to this point where we hate each other regardless.

 

It will get worse regardless of outcome. The divide is simply too great. If Trump were to win in a landslide the DNC would have to do some serious soul searching. More than likely that would lead them to more viscous attacks.
If the DNC candidate wins the GOP will seek payback, and rightly so, for the constant assaults on Trump...

 

The gibmedats want their free ****. They won't stop wanting to take from the producers.

 

I view Bernie supporters mostly as well-meaning communists and Biden supporters mostly as low information followers. I view neither as 'enemies.' I'll help them both change a tire or give em directions or w/e, like I would anyone else. I believe most of em will do the same for me, a Trump supporter.

But I do view the corporate whore media, most politicians, and the elite establishment in general as an enemy. Not an enemy to be violently attacked, to be clear, but one to be non-violently opposed, protested and exposed as villainous.

 

Trump's Election has divided the country permanently.

It may take 5 Decades of Dem. Presidents to undo the damage.

 

Perhaps you haven't been paying attention, trump has pulled this off all by himself.

Assuming Biden gets in, there is at least some chance it gets better, under Trump, none whatsoever. That guy works very very hard it being divisive so he can keep his base energized.

 

The Trumpers will go back under their rock and stay there like they were for years before he came along. They are the dark underbelly of American politics, we need to be reminded occasionally of their existence so we will be vigilant about keeping them where they belong.

I know you'll say that's not a very unifying sentiment and I agree. I don't want to be unified with such people. I have better things to do than spend all my time bashing people not of my ethnicity

 

The Media has done their best to stop him, with exceptions like Alex Jones, Rush Limbaugh and most of Fox. Why do you think Trump attacks all but them so?

 

Yep, any one that 'tells on him' is his enemy. Any one who kisses his arse is his friend.

 

When one side is right and onecside is wrong and the side that is wrong knows they are wrong but keep pushing anyway there is no reason to expect partisanship to end , nor should it end. Leftists are going to push agsinst good people until it becomes physically violent, at which point they will have many regrets.

If a civil war started today and it was Democrats vs Republicans all government agencies would be legally bound to the Republican side because Republicans actually have the constitution on their side.

If your first loyalty is not to the constitution you cannot legitimately hold public office.

 

One sure fire way to ensure the media doesn't have the only say about the administration is to communicate directly with the public (other than twitter). But with no WH Briefings, people are informed only through print, tv and online communications.

 

With all usual situations, when sides are taken both friends and enemies come as a result; when it comes to stating a point of view, a political position, an opinion from reading text views and opinions will more times than not differ, so with this well known fact, I do not become emotionally involved in any conversation. Emotions stop the higher thinking process and often lead to contention, conflict and fighting. Taking the approach of conflict resolution works sometimes, other times it does not work being that there are people whose entire existence is based upon fighting.
I gave my point of view about the topic under discussion. A more adequate answer could be, whether the political environment cools or remains hot is entirely up to the individuals in the discussion.

 

The country was already totally divided permanently. Trump is the catalyst that made the leftist resistance show its hand.

 

Lol, the media only posts what they want from white house briefings and in general they lie about what comes out of them in order to control what people hear and believe.
That is the purpose of the MSM. To control thought and bend peoples thinking towards the left.
It is nieve to think there is any truly informative news anymore.

Again, I'm not commenting upon the media. If people could get direct and honest communications directly from WH briefings, it wouldn't matter what the media said about them. But we don't get those briefings anymore.

 

We never really got them before is my point.

 

Most of us didn't know the alt.right existed until Trump put them into the White House. I'd heard of Breitbart but thought they were just another right-wing group. I honestly thought we'd gotten rid of all those guys back in 1945.

 

No i thought we got rid of the far left in 45. You know the nazis, they were far left , not far right.

 

I think the mainstream republican party would love it if trumpsters went back under a rock, but they have tasted power, and they won't be going anywhere. Donald Trump Jr. is already being groomed, and if he falters there will be no shortage of trump-like candidates looking to duplicate his formula. I suspect it will be a long time before this protectionists, non-pc, white nationalist wing of the GOP is fully crushed.

 

That should make Democrats happy.. trump is doing everything they used to say they wanted..
