    I didn't talk about Trump's initial "response", but his initial comments. However, if it makes any difference and helps to avoid an extended discussion about nothing, I like to plead 'guilty' to using imprecise language and rephrase what I had said as follows: "Trump's earlier comments (before some of his more recent statements) about the Coronovirus were pathetic..."

    The GOP is turning this into... carry it through the election.
    It's just deflecting away that experts around the world said it's going to be bad.
    And you lot believed Donald's hunch.

    Look at the stock markets now. State of emergency has been called out. Army is used in Spain to make a lock down happen. People die alone in Italy's hospitals without getting help because the ER is full and family is not allowed to visit the sick. And here is Trump basically claiming the American superior race won't have it. Your God is insane.

    Go to Italy, to a patient not being helped because it's ER is full and so left to die alone because family is not allowed to visit... and tell such a victim is pathetic and there is no hysteria needed.

    Well, considering 23% of Italy’s population is over the age of 65 and the Italians smoke 40% more cigarettes than Americans and Italy didn’t instill a travel ban from China as early as the US it’s no wonder Italy is having a much higher death rate from this virus. But still, no hysteria is needed.

    Pff... look at all them extreme overweight Americans with zero conditions grasping for air when taking the stairs. And that travel ban from China and Europe didn't stop the virus coming to the US. As for hysteria: even Trump said he will do whatever it takes to curb the infection rate in the US. School closures are becoming the norm. Companies will be next.

    Correct, and that’s why the US leads the world in obesity related deaths. Heart disease, Diabetes and some cancers.


    The travel ban was meant to slow the influx of the virus. Stopping it would be impossible. Trump’s initial travel ban on Feb 2, against heavy opposition from the left was perhaps as statistics show the single most important aspect in fighting the spread of Coronavirus throughout the US.


    Trump has nothing to do with school and business closures. That is the governors of each individual state.

    So far there isn't a lot of things that get closed in the US to stop the rapid spread that the virus can do. So you know... Trump is not doing something to prevent an Italy thing happening in the US. That's what I am comparing it too.
