    You just add up all the sections that are medical related and divide by population. You can pick whichever areas you find most relevant. Now keep in mind the burden of proof here. The OP is claiming that the US and Israel is where most of the research happens. The OP or anyone else who believes him is free to go through this website and use real data to prove he is right.

    My metric is better than anything presented by the OP. If you have a better one, just let me know. I was thinking nobel prizes, but that is only a very tiny part of medical research.

    And then we can question whether medical research is as important as some think it is. If people are eating garbage food, can't afford healthcare, and avoiding going to the doctor because of the high cost, then how much is expensive new medical technology really going to help us?

    If you want to mock a country for not providing the world with scientific insights and inventions, Sweden is the last place to mess with.

    In comparison, America is a mental dwarf and, in general, the USA is nothing but the more barbaric and unwashed cousin of Europe. :)

    This is a great point. Furthermore, it is not even true - and actually rather heretic to claim - that Sweden has not - and does not - provide medical technology and insights when the country has given us things such as anesthesia, intravenous nutrition, the pacemarker, dental implantation and echocardiography and still to this date have highly regarded medical institutions that work day and night to heal the world.

    No, that is the sour truth Americans need to accept. Americans are the descendants of starving European peasants, Cuckoo Eruopean Calvinists and dangerous Sicillian Mafiosi.

    America is 100's years younger than Europe and the only reason America even exists in the first place is because Europeans were curious enough to discover it and settle down there.

    I know that in your schools they brainwash you to worship your flag and memorise your cute Presidents. Telling you all good and all that is Liberty is from the US, but even the ideals that are the foundation of your Constitution are from Europe.

    America is nothing in comparison to Europe.
