You'll have people dropping dead in the streets, like in China... is this your idea of living

Yes. People get sick and die. It’s natural part of life.

The Coronavirus is not a natural part of life... honestly you're one of those people who pose a risk during times like these

Nope, the Chinese Coronavirus originated in China's wet markets, the west and other countries are exposed to it because Globalists have spent decades breaking down our borders in their pursuit of a One World order.
Globalism is not only sucking the lifeblood out of our economies by taking away jobs, it also pose a biological threat and this is the perfect time to reset. We must work not only to defeat this virus but to fix the damage the Globalists have imposed on us by bringing back manufacturing and closing porous borders.

Let's be honest - globalism has been a fact of life since Marco Polo rode into China. The US became the nation we are by trading with partners around the world, back to trading cotton and tobacco.

No that is trade & exploration, are you seriously calling Marco Polo a Globalist .... you think he tried to bring all countries under one government  I'm pretty sure that was not on his agenda.... he was a trader and explorer.

Trade have been ongoing for thousands of years... trade is not Globalism (I think you need to go and familiarise yourself with the International Communist, go and read Karl Popper, some Lenin).

See this is why people vote for the Globalist Communist Democrats.... they think Globalism is trade.... unbelievable

Although the near future is uncertain I have a feeling that after a month or two of this the people will revolt and resume living in a somewhat normal fashion. I think they'd rather face a 1% chance of dying than a 100% chance of having their lives economically destroyed, especially since the prediction is that the virus will get around to most of us eventually anyway.

I disagree and I'll tell you why. I've seen footage come out of Italy, people are terrified, they have now banned all outdoor exercise & activity. As soon as people do what you suggest, the bodies will start dropping at a rate that will scare them back in line.

Again, go and read Karl Popper, learn about the International Communists and Open Borders, Open Societies... seriously people, you need to get up to speed with these issues. How can you post on a Political forum and not know about these issues?

What do you think the whole British Empire drive was about? The Roman Empire? It was all about attempts at globalism - bringing everything under the same big tent. Trade is just a part of that. If you think that other countries are going to buy American goods made with American labor costs, you're kidding yourself. If you think that we can support our entire population with just what we build in this country, your kidding yourself. Hell, over 1 million Americans work for Mexican companies in one capacity or another.

This didn't need to happen ..........The Trump Virus could have been stopped in its tracks .........

Several months before the coronavirus pandemic began, the Trump administration eliminated a key American public health position in Beijing intended to help detect disease outbreaks in China, Reuters has learned.

he American disease expert, a medical epidemiologist embedded in China’s disease control agency, left her post in July, according to four sources with knowledge of the issue. The first cases of the new coronavirus may have emerged as early as November, and as cases exploded, the Trump administration in February chastised China for censoring information about the outbreak and keeping U.S. experts from entering the country to help.

“It was heartbreaking to watch,” said Bao-Ping Zhu, a Chinese American who served in that role, which was funded by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, between 2007 and 2011. “If someone had been there, public health officials and governments across the world could have moved much faster.”

Empires are different to Globalism, Empires have provinces. Do you need it explained to you.... the difference between a province, a colony and communist takeover? France and Portugal had provinces in Africa that brought education and wealth to the people who live there.... Globalism sucks the money out of the capitalist country and sends it to the Communists (in this case China). And Colonies sends resources back to the Empire, utilising labour of the colony.

    Globalism is communism
    Empires have provinces/colonies

We get millions of tons of resources from China (and other countries) each year. We have $600 billion in trade with Mexico each year. It's a two way street.

Trade is different to Globalism

Globalism and Empires suck. Close porous borders, (not shut them to trade), bring back manufacture, which will increase your exports and earn you more money, bring back jobs as well as secure you against outside threats, such as the Corona virus. These will make your own country stronger... not China. Globalism will suck the lifeblood out of your country, it is a huge threat. Globalism IS NOT TRADE.

Globalism makes countries part of the Communist Empire. That is what Globalism & Open Borders is doing.

Whatever you do don't vote for the Communist Globalist Democrats

There is even signs of some kind of primitive long road trade during prehistory, we can speak either of some shells that was obviously tooken from the sea a few hundred kilometers away, and also of some metal during the bronze age that also obviously travelled for a long time. We're also able to know roughly from where some silex come from.
(Pre)history apart, there is obviously a difference between importing a product from afar because you can't product it yourself and sending factory in some countries because it's much cheaper.
In hope for better benefice, many countries have been vulnerable, as they lost their abilities to produce some vital drugs, for instance.

Relying on other nations, people have some benefice in efficiency, but there is a cost : more vulnerability.

Service sector jobs will certainly be impacted.

Fortunately any economic downturn will be due to an external factor (China virus) and not an internal factor.

I expect the economy to rapidly improve.

9/11 lasted one day and had a direct impact on the jobs in Manhattan and the airline industry. That is all. It took two months to recover to a more normal economy. Your emotional attachment to Trump is clouding your judgement if you think a world-wide, 2 month shut down is going to have a quick recovery.
