I'm not a Maduro fan. But it's strange that the indictment mentions corrupting their own institutions and misleading their people, as if those sovereign activities fell under US jurisprudence. And it seems rather self righteous in light of our own shortcomings as a nation.

 

The protests were encouraged by NGOs supported by George Soros and his Open Society Foundation. They became violent when men with masks appeared - usually from other countries. This is why Soros and his organization have been banned in so many countries.

What is bad is the deception. Soros and the ideologues in Washington believe in a one world government and currency - similar in concept to the international state that Lenin wanted to bring about with the Soviet Union. I see it as slavery since I'm a firm believer in individual rights, which can only exist with small governments serving the least amount of people. The larger the government, the more imposition there will be on people's rights.

Maduro asked the IMF for a loan to help fight the coronavirus and they refused. Instead Washington with its usual compassion, decided to further the sufferings and confiscate Venezuala's funds. Russia will now be helping them as they are Italy - but Washington doesn't care. Monetary gain and pleasing the financiers no matter who and what they are, reigns supreme.

A Venezuelan General with a price on his head by Washington for drug smuggling gave himself up last week. This general didn't work for Maduro, he worked for Guaido, but since he is Washington's chosen replacement for Maduro, they flipped it as they usually do, to make the innocent guilty and the guilty innocent.
