    This guy is getting a lot of positive press. Some negative. I know little about him but he does seem to be a strong alternative voice to Trump.

    Do you think he'll be drafted as Biden falters? What kind of competition would he be for Trump?

    What are your impressions of the guy? What do you know about him?

    What is so wonderful about Cuomo?

    His state is the worst, by far, for Corona virus cases.

    Trump is already terrified of taking on Biden.

    He's put a lot of energy into getting him dirty and he's prayed to have Sanders as his opponent.

    The Democrats and a large section of the Independents are united against Trump. They are more numerous and considering the pitiful state the country will be in in November, getting the vote out will be much easier than in 2016.

    This thread is about Cuomo. I know what you think of Trump, what do you think about Cuomo?

    In any case, five European countries are worse than the US for virus spread when measured on a per capita basis.

    He's a governor with stature.

    The people are massively behind him, but he has no aspirations at this point to enter the presidential race.

    I could see him getting drafted whether he wants this or not. But, supposedly all pols dream of being POTUS. Why the hesitation I wonder.

    The MSM is massively behind him leading to you believe he has stature. I don't follow NY politics very much, so I don't know if he has actually done anything worthwhile.

    Do you know anything or are you just following what the MSM tells you about his stature?

    I read your article. Just like I said above, CNN is telling us Cuomo has stature, is tough, etc. Most of the article was bashing Trump in any case, just as our friend @Arkansis does.

    Yet 25% of the virus cases is in his state with less than 10% of the population of the US.

    Before the pandemic, the news I read about NY is how the state is depopulating.

    Is there anything good Cuomo has done. Perhaps he has. As I said, I don't follow NY politics.

    A lot of people scare him.

    The authors he threatened to sue when they published books about him ,the women he paid to keep them quiet and so many others...

    His favorite weapon is the threat of a lawsuit.

    99% of the time, it goes nowhere.

    Cuomo, like his father, decided not to run in 2016 and again in 2020. He started making noise against the tax cut because somehow rich New Yorkers lost money in the deal. Then he got quiet again.
    A man like him can't get many votes in Iowa, New Hampshire or South Carolina, but the timing of this problem gives him a route to the nomination. He can't admit it out loud, just try to look surprised and humbled if it happens. I'm not sure he can handle the look.
    In the general election it's hard to see a man like him coming close in the red states or even winning the heartland swing states.

    Cuomo is a great choice, here is his leadership style in a nutshell

    "Gimme gimme gimme, I don't care if Trump is busy with 49 other states, I'm from NY, us first, us first, us first, wah!!!!!!" That will play well in middle America. His brash NY big mouth would never win any states except maybe one or two near New York in a primary, so that is why he is being considered now, put him in without any input from the primary voters. Would anyone be surprised if the DNC did this? Actually maybe Hillary, she sits by the phone because she deserves it, it is her turn damn it.

    There would be no better person for Trump to take on that Biden. Guy has lost his marbles. Trump wouldn't fair well aginst many others, but Biden, please. Ask Biden in a few months what his name is and I would be surprised if he knows it.

    Trump spent an incredible amount of energy not to confront Biden.

    The Democrats know it and that's why they all sided with him.

    So Trump is either crazy or he's afraid of Biden.

    There's no other option.

    Biden would be the hardest candidate for Trump to beat, and Trump knows it.

    Trump is a Complete IMBECILE who Parrots anything that he sees on RW Twitter.

    Obviously, there is ZERO Chance that Cuomo will be the Dem. Nominee.

    The Democratic nominee doesn't matter. If Trump acquits himself well during the pandemic, he is re-elected no matter who the Democrats nominate. If not, he loses to any Democrat.
