As usual you suggest doing nothing. Just let millions die.

I'm suggesting that those people at risk - the elderly - care about the future of their kids and grandkids.

The Democrat leadership was singularly focused on impeachment and had no time to worry about some virus in China. they were impeaching that mf that messed up their carefully planned restructuring of America.

Any way this thing goes it will hurt the economy. The decision is not life or money it is life or death. The economy may recover quickly. Dead people never recover.

It is not even an either/or case. The things that mitigate the spread of the virus will also mitigate the overall economic costs of the pandemic. The idea that you can let the pandemic spread even faster, not take these kind of measures, only for the numbers to be in the millions, and that would somehow have less of an economic effect is absurd.

British comedian Eddie Large, best known for being part of double act Little and Large, has died at the age of 78 after contracting coronavirus in the hospital.

The star (pictured, above left), who had been in the hospital with heart failure, found fame alongside Syd Little in the 1970s and 80s.

They won TV talent show “Opportunity Knocks” and went on to have a long-running comedy sketch show on BBC One in the 1970s and 80s, which was watched by millions of TV viewers in the U.K.

His son, Ryan McGinnis, broke the news in a Facebook post, writing that his father caught Covid-19 while in hospital.

He wrote: “It is with great sadness that Mum and I need to announce that my Dad passed away in the early hours of this morning.

“He had been suffering with heart failure and unfortunately, whilst in hospital, contracted the coronavirus, which his heart was sadly not strong enough to fight. Dad had fought bravely for so long. Due to this horrible disease we had been unable to visit him at the hospital but all of the family and close friends spoke to him every day.

“We will miss him terribly and we are so proud of everything he achieved in his career with Syd and know that he was much loved by the millions that watched them each week.”

Large, whose real name was Hugh McGinnis, was born in Glasgow but grew up in Manchester.

Comedians and fans including Matt Lucas, Jason Manford, Paul Chuckle and Kate Robbins are among those paying tribute on social media.

There have been some celebrities that have died from the Coronavirus pandemic there are no exceptions to anything.

I don't think we'll worry in the months to come. We should see a break coming sooner or later. I hope I'm right on this.

None of what you say means Trump didn't screw up. We lost precious time when we could have used the WHO test. We have also failed to lockdown states like Florida and Tennessee because the governors are idiots. Where the the leadership from Trump?

Consider the a-----e governor of Florida DeSantis who said he changed his mind about the cruise ships, Zaandam and Rotterdam, when he learned Americans and Floridians were onboard. Really? He "learned" Americans might be on the ship? The guy is either lying or dumber than a sack of hammers. I go with the latter because the idiot only yesterday issued a stay-at-home order.

But then Trump all but encouraged risky behavior by downplaying the threat, he failed to ramp up PPE production (he still hasn't done enough), and he failed to issue a national stay-at-home order.

Get what you can because you never know when authorities will clamp down on people moving around. There are too many people doing what they please and thus dragging out the stay-at-home order.

You seem to be confusing what's reported in the media and what's actually taking place. Even the Senate was working on other legislation while spending part of the day on the trial.
They had eight years to do a "restructuring of America" under Obama and didn't. They just kissed of Sanders in favor of Biden. There is no restructuring plan.

You think? Wait for the new stimulus Nancy and her gang come up with and we'll have a better understanding of what it is

It was reported that approximately 80% of people who go on ventilators don't survive.

Are we doing enough to reach the crest of this so called Coronavirus pandemic? week after week I keep hearing that the Coronavirus is escalating and escalating with no end in sight. How much longer will this go on? I don't know. But We're getting closer to when it peaks and many of the restrictions will begin to lift. It won't be long that will happen soon. I just hope that I'm right.

Here for what? Look up the "Great Depression" and see the "fun".

And there is NO guarantee who will be here if we destroy the economy or not.

I hope you are correct and shutting down and destroying people's livelihoods will not harm survivors .

You may feel that way but you don't get to make that decision for others.

My grandparents and parents "lived" through the Great Depression and I bet if they had a choice to stay dead or go through the next Great Depression , they'd choose staying dead.

What we're doing with the spending is absolutely essential to keeping the economy from falling apart. Both Republicans and Democrats agree on the $2t plan. Thank goodness neither side has chosen to demagogue the spending because a lot of people don't understand the economics. It has heartening to hear Mnuchin say his job now is to execute. Exactly right.

At some point, and Trump acknowledged this, we're going to need to make up for a demand drop in some things we produce--tourism, dining out, clubbing, and so on. Trump talked up $2t in infrastructure. Sounds okay, but big projects get bogged down with bureaucracy, environmental activism, etc.

You won't be right if we don't crack down on yahoos who don't give a damn about the stay-at-home orders.

With a current problem of hospital capacity, why not use some of these shuttered schools as make shift hospitals? Local school maintenance crews can clear out classrooms.

At some point the shopping spree has to take a deep breath and see what we need after we spend what's in the account. Now is hardly the time to fundamentally restructure the country to fit Democrat dreams which is what was being put forward by Dem planners in the last round of relief.
