Sometimes in comedy there are elements of truth of the lies we tell. Expressed in comedy, frequently the silliness is exposed.

You are correct in that there are a lot, but more read the Bible than you think.

Your statements are completely void of comprehensive grammar.......sorry.

Oh no, read Hitler’s speeches and Goebbels’ propaganda. If there was one thing they hated and feared more than the Jewd, it was the independent thinker.

A serial killer looking both ways before he crosses street does not turn a psychotic monster into a scientific hero.

There was nothing “genius” about Hitler.

May I suggest Dr. Leonard Peikoff’s The Ominous Parallels?
“Self-sacrifice, Oriental mysticism, racial “truth,” the public good, doing one’s duty—these are among the seductive catchphrases that circulated in pre-Nazi Germany. ... “

LOL. One of the truly greats. Sincerely missed.

“But He loves you.” Now that’s artistic genius, something that Hitler was sorely lacking.

Poor grammar? That’s your rhetorical refutation of a logical assertion? No, no , no. It’s an obvious refuge for a losing argument.

Postponing the inevitable doesn’t make it any less inevitable.

By surrendering his reason to his whims, his independence to the approval of others, and his integrity to the expediency of the moment. None of which requires thought, only surrender, like what God commands.

That whole opening bit just to reap the payoff of that one line. Pure artistic genius—now that’s thinking, and it doesn’t happen by magic or devine inspiration.

Oh come now, he wasn’t divinely inspired?
The God the comes to my mind is the one where God is saying ‘and you people believe what?’, ‘quit ascribing that silliness to me.’

    Do you mean Catholic Priests?

Do you mean Billy Graham who urged presidents to go to war and augment our wars in stupendous slaughter.

Are you referring to Jim and Tammy Bakker and the charges of rape and the embezzlement that landed him in prison?

You have it somewhat backwards. These individuals and institutions all had strong claims of close relationship to god.

Christianity itself sees mankind as fundamentally flawed. The message is that all humans are the source of sin.

It's not that sin comes from some subset of humanity that doesn't hold YOUR religious beliefs.

Wasn’t Robespierre a Diest? “If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him".

Nah. It’s unwise to give the impossible any rational sanction. However, as a metaphor for the “best within us”? I’ll accept that kind of divinity. Though the best within us is our reason, not our kindness.

You are not far off at all.....that is why we need a Savior. Even Christians. If we were perfect, we wouldn't need Him. Some of you pridefully reject Him....that's all/

Well, I don't "pridefully reject Him". There is no pride to be had in religion - at all. And, I do not attempt to counter a belief in god that may be expressed on this board, nor do I chide those who don't accept my views about religion.

And, I'd like it to be remembered that the evil you talk about is not coming from some source other than ALL humanity, REGARDLESS of religious belief that is expressed.

I suggest you get some books out of the library on economic or take an online course for that matter so you can know what the hell you are talking about.

Many posters here seem willing to post on subjects they seem on it face not to have background knowledge/understanding in such as for example relativity or in this case economics an therefore briefly pointing out where they are in error and suggesting they might benefit by getting further information on the subject is not an homo attack.

Stalin was destined to become a priest. He graduated from church school and studied at a theological seminary, which explains his dogmatic thinking and inquisitorial ways.

You most certainly do. You claim to be self sufficient in all regards at all levels of hope with all knowledge for a secure future.

We have discussed often that many use the institution for personal gain without commitment to a belief in a very real Savior with a very real message. Stalin, obviously, was of that order as his persecutions of those of faith would bare that out.
