This is what Democrats think about America and Americans and claim communism is better.

Remember this thread when Democrats are denying being socialist. If they believe that they are the people stalin would call useful... they advocate for their own enslavement.

Democrats want to destroy and then fundamentally transform America into a global socialist police state run by oligarchs out of Europe.

Ok, so you are advocating for true socialism. It hasn't truly been tried because it is obvious that it won't work. Those with more responsibility deserve more compensation as do those with more talent, knowledge, and dedication. Yes, it currently goes to extremes, but that is more a symptom of scale than an inherit injustice. What you are calling for would negate ability in favor of mere presence.

Not intended as a personal attack, I neither know you nor care to judge you on a personal level. More a judgement of an ideology.

Ok, so those in favor of a capitalist system that have the means will just let you take their fortunes and influence from them?

Antifa? This isn't opinion, watch conservative speakers go to Berkley. There is an abundance of evidence that this is true. Again, I'm not calling out individuals, I'm sure there are plenty that do not agree with this that still espouse the socialist agenda, but by and large it is true.

I am glad you did, and hope that you use your means to affect some good in the world, but socialism would not be it.

There is no such thing as a "distinction" between "true socialism" and "not quite true socialism". Capitalism took between 200 and 300 years to develop into the first country based on a capitalist economy. Why won't you afford socialism the same opportunity? Biased much?

Of course! See? You don't know my views but you attack and criticize anyway without finding out first.

"Scale"? Do you think there were few-to-no injustices in 1910?

You don't know that. I already showed you that you don't know what my views are nor what I'm calling for.

Really? You said "you all dream of pillaging for personal gain". "We all" includes me, and you said "we (I)" "dream of pillaging for personal gain". Shall I say in reference to the right, "you all dream of pillaging the workers for the capitalist in a despotic Trump dictatorship"?

Of course not! But I didn't say they should be stripped of their wealth, either.

Strawman. Antifa doesn't represent socialists. Again you spew a blanket accusation against those you don't like even though they are a diverse group.

Capitalism is what’s getting us through this and highlighting why it works.

Could you imagine the panic and chaos if we were depending on the govt and not grocery stores for food and supplies??

One more comment. You are calling socially beneficial programs under capitalism, "socialism". But you know perfectly well that socialism and capitalism are mutually exclusive. You can't have an economy dominated by capitalism while you also have that same economy dominated by socialism. You can't even have it 50-50 because each will work to end the other. The leading politicians of The Netherlands, Norway, Finland, Denmark, and Iceland all say with a chuckle, "no, we aren't a socialist country. We are capitalist." Do you think they're lying?

Referring to them and/or their economy and/or political system as "socialist" is just part of capitalist propaganda intended to confuse people to disarm them against change. It looks like it worked with you. NO socialist agrees.

Marxist.com!!!!!!!!!!! If marxism is so great, why does it take fear mongering to sell it?

If it's sooo great, why aren't you doing it now? What prevents you from connecting with like minded people and living by your own set of beliefs?

Nothing to dispute there, I agree. The problem is that many don't understand that and continually point to these countries to push a socialist agenda. We know capitalism works, albeit imperfectly. What we don't know is whether socialism is even feasible. On a hypothetical level it sounds good, but it has two distinct issues: how to maintain cooperation during times of dispute and/or decline and how to limit government interference (particularly in large scale corporate endeavors vital to the national interest.) This second is one of the reasons that socialist attempts have been converted to communism before they even began. It seems to me to be inevitable. I don't think capitalism is a whole lot better, but we know it works and has pulled much of the world out of absolute poverty.

We have a political system and we have an economic system and "economic freedom" was never defined as "labor". Economic freedom is your freedom to earn money and if you choose start a business or invest in businesses and participate freely in the economy building your own wealth. If that is not economic freedom then what in your view would be? What economic freedom is being withheld from you by corporations and capital?

Democrats and their Chinese counterparts are hoping for doom and gloom for capitalism.

They hope the virus will bring about the post America world they tried to achieve with managed decline policies.

What is our current deficit level? Current total debt? Debt per citizen?

By what measure are you saying “greatest economies ever” — are you looking at unemployment figures, subtract people making below a living wage or working numerous jobs. Are you looking at the speculative stock market propped up by debt? What about our fiscal house, is it in order?
Education, healthcare, level of happiness — we are falling in all categories almost yearly.

It is delusional to call sub 3% growth the “greatest economy ever”

Then we make them an offer they can't refuse. If they want to opt out, they do so at the cost of their citizenship, any and all assets within the US, and any and all patents registered in the US. Then they're free to move to Galt's Gulch, or whenever their shriveled little black hearts desire...

    The death of Capitalism.
    Sigh
Sounds like Peak Oil, or the 1970s Global Freezing (remember that?)
We have seen the Death of Communism
But reports of the death of Capitalism are greatly exaggerated.
So long as people want private property and sovereignty over their own lives there will be Capitalism.
And in sitting in front of an electronic computer and writing on the internet you have benefited from Capitalism too.

Capitalism is already dead, it was the moment government started picking winners and losers, enforcing monopoly laws and having industry lobbyists write regulations.

Now we have a quasi redistributive economy propped up by federal debt and bailouts.
