You have showed no such thing and ignored the figures I presented. Inconvenient I guess.

That you are unable to comprehend the difference between 0.2% and 100% is... interesting...

What would you like me to address? You posted no information, no questions — only word vomit and accusing me of thoughts that I do not have.
    Sorry, I don’t do gaslighting

It does not make any difference. There's a button and there's an order to push it; that is all there's to it. That's what military does.

Dodge noted. And to compare a modern nuclear carrier to a patrol both is the height of absurdity.

Me>> Yes just what our adversaries would love to take advantage of. That you seem to think China and it's military are some kind of benevolent entities and have our best interest at heart is just amazing. What folly.
So you agree China would love to use this to take more advantage of us in the Pacific. How about a commander of any military force telegraphing to our enemies the status and readiness of the forces he commands is a gross violation off national security and military protocol? You agree with that too?

Did you see the post where they praise the sailors for approving the captain's actions?

I swear to G*d, some people just don't realize the military is not a democracy.

Yes all those sailors who are so concerned about contracting the virus gathered on the hanger deck in violation of the social distancing protocols as the WSJ noted?

The ship needs to stay in commission and the Captain signaled to potential enemies that it wasn’t at full battle readiness which is where he really went off the rails and put the ship and it’s crew at risk.

I don't know what is so hard to understand about that. But of course these are the same people who say we shouldn't be allowed to have a military larger than any other country.

It is Trump's nature to fire anyone who does anything to make him or his administration look bad. With this history, plus the fact that Trump is now "Commander in Chief" of the U.S. military, I doubt Trump had nothing to do with this result.

The DOD is under the direct control of Trump personally, or his Sec of Defense sycophant. Your source is compromised.

I don't claim Trump ordered the firing, but I suspect the firing was connected to sensitivity by Trump himself or some of his cohorts trying to protect his public image. The captain did the right thing. He protected the lives of his crew. Firing him can't help but have a powerful but negative impact on the crew of that ship & all others in the U.S. Navy. It certainly had a negative impact on me.

As practicing "Commander in Chief" of the U.S. military, Trump can't avoid having something to do with the firing. Whether he ordered it or not, just his public agreement with it, puts him in the position of valuing his public image over the lives of American servicemen & women. That's not the kind of President I want in the White House.

It had NOTHING to do with Trump it had to do with national security and chain of command as much as you would hope to somehow tag it to Trump. The Captain did exactly the wrong thing.

Why are you lying? He was never fired. He was REMOVED from his post. That's it. He's still a Captain, and still in the Navy with his current rank.

    We are not at war
There is no reason for these sailors to needlessly suffer and spread disease
It was a failure of command to not act

He did what he had to do because of a failure in the chain of command.

No exceptions. The soldier has a task, and his task is to obey his commander and execute his orders.
