Absolutely. I would have far more faith in an officer who preferred I die gasping for air so as to spare his superior's criticism.

As often as we lose, maybe we should reevaluate our process.

Trump is a vindictive man in case you hadn't noted. Vindictive, petty and venal.

He has an opportunity to make this right. Will he recognize it and take advantage of it? Time will tell.

In all probability you might be the last man on the planet to know what "the right thing" is. If so, that puts you in the class of men like Pompeo, Brennan, Clapper and Trump.

And I bet you'd prefer one who turned his ship around in the face of the enemy so you don't die when a shell hits. That's not what is the military and as I said a breakdown in command. The Navy was already making accommodations for the ship, the captain violated national security, end of story. And BTW the sailors were apparently not too concerned as they gathered together in a large group on the hanger deck to inappropriately cheer the just relieved captain.

Actually in this case I know far more than you as you apparently have no comprehension of the military and national security.

glad to hear it, and glad the tape became public, that was wrong of him to do after what he did to the captain, he just could not leave it at that

yes, the Trump admin\children used personal email and the whats up app - seems now it's not an issue - when Clinton did it, the right thought it was the end of the world

the sad thing is, he did not make Trump look bad, he was just trying to help his crew, just Trump and his supporters took it personally, they think the truth getting out makes them look bad - Trump has a very fragile ego and his people try to protect it

Trump made himself look bad by attacking the captain, had he just remained quite, he woudl of been fine

Nonsense. It’s trump’s name that will be remembered as synonymous with pathological narcissism and puerile vanity.
He’s the biggest buffoon to come down the pike since Andrew Johnson.

I'd prefer one who didn't get the ship hit by an enemy shell in the first place.

Like most armchair generals you forget that the idea is not to give your life for your country but to make the other poor bastard give his life for his. If you ever served you seem to have forgotten that an officer commanding you is supposed to protect your life if he can, not throw it away needlessly to make his superiors feel better.

This Captain did right by his men. not Admiral Bonespurs, and their cheers were totally right and appropriate

As I said even though order to engage the enemy you would prefer he run so nobody gets hurt.

You do that be engaging him and not giving him the classified information about your readiness and knowingly putting yourself in danger. Trump didn't do anything here why do you keep posting false statements? And no their cheers showed a breakdown on the ship and that they apparently weren't so afraid that that all gather tightly and yelled and screamed spitting out the virus on each other. The captain should have stopped them dead in their tracks and ordered them to disperse.

Can you give me any evidence those sailors have not received proper care in Guam?

There is no war on now, and the most dangerous enemies our military have at the present time is Donald John Trump and his toadies

You remind of the NKVD who stopped a Russian apparatchik while he was walking around the Kremlin in the early 1950's shouting "Stalin is an idiot" He was arrested for revealing State Secrets.

We are always in conflict with our adversaries and readiness of forces in information they go to great lenghts to try and obtain and when a commander tells them he gets relieved of Command.

We were victorious in Grenada, the first Gulf War, in Bosnia-Serbia although that was officially a NATO operation that predominately used American military, and the second Gulf War though we handled that victory badly. We broke even in Viet Nam with neither victory nor loss.
