If you think student loan forgiveness and funding of the Green new deal should go in the coronavirus stimulus, it is not surprising that you will be voting for a guy with dementia in November.

To say there is no data regarding Chloroquine is misleading, my ex wife has Lupis and has been taking it daily for over 20 years. Not only did Chloroquine pass FDA trials decades ago, it is being prescribed to millions of Lupis, Rheumatoid and Malaria patients for decades. The many decades of data exists relative to any potential dangers presented by the compound. If there were detrimental effects, the drug would never have passed FDA testing nor escaped being recalled from distribution. As for effectiveness against the ‘Virus’ it’s a question unanswered. However, there has been small group tests that you’d equate to anecdotal evidence teasing some success.
I would suspect there might be a pool of patients that would volunteer to rests as a Hail Mary. Over Xmas holidays and all of Jan, I contracted pneumonia that rapidly became a pleural infusion. The condition downed me in less than 5 days and I was lucky I passed out in the waiting room of my Doc’s office after which I was 911’d to an area hospital’s ICU (my oxygen was down to level 3-4). (BTW, I received a pneumonia shot a couple months earlier). I underwent, thoracoscopic surgery (tubes inserted in my chest to drain fluid), it took two weeks to drain the fluid, during which I seemed to be on continual IV for delivery a multiple antibiotics, including a new experimental one for which I had to give my assent after being told of some potentially serious side effects. I was told I was in part selected because they were surprised I survived getting to the hospital and had a strong heart (I cycle an average of between 6-7, 000 mi/yr.... my age 67). Internment (felt like the right word). It was a grueling ordeal, more-so because it’s not in my nature to be indoors and inactive. My heart and my blood pressure remained steady the entire time and my oxygen level steadily climbed. I escaped prison (food was how I margined prison food) at the end of Jan. I am getting back to condition, though my cycling is only to about 100 mi/week. So, apparently my recover was attributed to more my body conditioning and my med team was chalking it up a a win for the new treatment (not sure that was legitimate or not).
My point in relating that story is that among those being hospitalized might be willing to volunteer to a study, some like me, might be willing to gamble to save the lives of others.
As for testing the compound’s potential for preventing the virus, I suspect many med staff on the frontline, daily risking their lives, might volunteer to test the compound as a preventative strategy and they would be in a position of knowing the risks. No lack of bravery med staffs I have seen...my hat is off for them. ... and of the amazing group that treated me, including the often under appreciated nursing staff...IMO, the backbone of the Hospital staff.

Which of these quotes was me lol

“China has been working very hard to contain the Coronavirus. The United States greatly appreciates their efforts and transparency. It will all work out well. In particular, on behalf of the American People, I want to thank President Xi!”

“Just finished a very good conversation with President Xi of China. Discussed in great detail the CoronaVirus that is ravaging large parts of our Planet. China has been through much & has developed a strong understanding of the Virus. We are working closely together. Much respect!”

He was attempting to spread panic with softer words, while taking ACTION to prevent the spread. The same cannot be said for dems like Pelosi who took no action, and weeks after Trump took his she was encouraging people to get together in large groups in china town. Yet she says Trump is the one who downplayed it lol.

Trump took action while WHO was criticizing it as well. They have been so wrong. They cannot be trusted.

none, that was the president, trying to work with China before their lies where exposed.

there lies have been exposed. Why do you keep believing them?

it’s time we stand up to the lying socialist regime and say no more. You sort of remind me of the abused spouse that keeps coming back, believing their lies after their lies have been exposed.

He said he had spoken to Putin and had no reason to doubt his version of the event.
He then changed his mind and gave some lame excuse about double negatives.
So, he's either an idiot or a liar.
    Most likely both.

A ban that saved many lives by slowing the progression according to experts.

    Yup, he's an China Ass-kisser.
Republicans introduce resolution to withhold money from WHO until director resigns (Update: Trump announces hold)

“The United States is the single largest contributor to the WHO.”

Of course. We are always the biggest contributors to these international organizations that back-stab us while they suck up to China.

The US has been very generous to these folks:

Reschenthaler, along with more than 20 other House Republican co-sponsors, backed the resolution that says

“the United States should withhold the contribution of Federal funds to the World Health Organization until Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus resigns and an international commission to investigate the World Health Commission is established.”…

The United States is the single largest contributor to the WHO. The most recent invoice from the WHO to the United States, which is one of many countries that fund the organization, was for nearly $116 million per year. The United States also voluntarily gives between approximately $100 million and $400 million more per year to the WHO for specific projects – contributions that totaled over $400 million in 2017, the most recent year for which figures are available.

This rotten no-good Dr. Tedros repeatedly sided with the lying China government in the early days of the crisis. When Lying China reported no evidence of human-to-human contact in mid-January, the WHO echoed those lies as their own false claims. When Lying China lobbied not to have the outbreak declared a global emergency, Tedros had the ability to declare one but did not. The declaration was made ten days later.

The WHO has also been embarrassingly deferential to Lying China with regard to Taiwan which, because of longstanding pressure from Lying China, is not a member of the WHO:

In a Skype interview, journalist Yvonne Tong of Hong Kong public broadcaster RTHK asked Dr. Bruce Aylward, a senior WHO official, if the global health body would reconsider Taiwan’s membership.

On Tong’s laptop screen, Aylward’s face twitched. He blinked for several seconds. Then he said he “couldn’t hear the question.” When Tong offered to repeat herself, Aylward cut in: “No, that’s OK, let’s move on to another question then.”

“I’m actually curious to talk about Taiwan as well,” said Tong. Aylward’s face disappeared—he had abruptly hung up.

When Tong called back and repeated her question, Aylward replied, “Well, we’ve already talked about China. And when you look across all the different areas of China, they’ve actually all done quite a good job.” He thanked Tong and ended the call again.

The lies by China in the early weeks, followed issuing misleading numbers to the rest of the world, is a major factor in how this killed so many people throughout the world. Under Dr. Tedros, the WHO has praised Lying China effusively at every step. American taxpayers have no interest in funding this stupid dangerous ass-kissing of China.

Today President Trump announced plans to put a “very powerful hold” on money going to the WHO.

why should they not, you against stimulating the economy to hurt Trump?

I think would be wise to spend the money doing these things now, and an infrastructure deal - get them ready for when we start up the economy

I'm not going to do your homework for you. You will just parrot Trump's double negative drivel anyway.
