    Not true, he gave up.

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) drops out of the 2020 presidential race, ceding the Democratic nomination to Joe Biden and a general election showdown with President Trump.

“Today I am suspending my campaign,” Sanders wrote on Twitter Wednesday morning. “But while the campaign ends, the struggle for justice continues on.”

Sanders made the announcement first in a conference call with his campaign staff, his campaign said.

“The path toward victory is virtually impossible,” Sanders said in a livestream to supporters. “I have concluded that this battle for the Democratic nomination will not be successful. I cannot in good conscience continue to mount a campaign I cannot win and which would interfere the important work required of all of us in this difficult hour.”

What part of "suspending my campaign ... " are you have difficulty understanding? He's leaving it open in case some part of Biden's campaign falls apart or if there is a contested convention. Ain't rocket science.

I have worked on political elections for over three decades now, including getting U.S. Congressman Allen West elected, as such, I more than likely have way more political experience than you will ever have, or could ever hope to have.

They "suspend" rather than end, so they can continue to access the campaign finances.

Bernie Sanders Drops Out Of Race To Spend More Time With His Many, Many Houses.

“It just seemed silly to spend all this time campaigning when I’m neglecting my many houses,” Sanders explained to his supporters. “I’ve made a huge profit pushing socialism and amassed much real estate, and it’s time I enjoy it.”

While his supporters were disappointed, most seemed to understand. “He’s ineffectually pushed socialism for decades,” said campaign worker Trevor Ball. “Now it’s finally hit big, and it’s time for him to enjoy his payday. That’s the best we all hope for from socialism.”

West? You so funny. The guy who lost his first run at the Congressional seat. Then, when he finally did win, was kicked off by voters after only two years.

By the way - it's nice that you admit you are a Republican political operative - gives people a heads up on your motives for being here.

He lost the first run as he was still overseas, and he was not kicked out by the voters, the Florida GOP redistricted him out of 19 and moved him to an area where he had no chance of winning, they didn't like West or his attitude, and stabbed him in the back, the Florida GOP has a long history of screwing over blacks who don't toe the party line.

You are totally clueless as to what happened, which it typical for an outsider.

Again clueless, most of the campaigns I worked on where for Florida Democrats, my politics are strictly driven on making money by getting good people elected, I doubt you can understand that concept.

You said you worked for political campaigns for over 3 decades ... THAT makes you a political operative. Just the simple fact.

    Just why I like him.

Though there's no real reason to be frightened. Your sort would make out better under Bernie than anyone.

I will give you an example of just how ignorant you are of my work, very successful work, by the way.

I met West after being invited by a good friend to a newly formed group called the Broward Tea Party, she wanted me to meet this candidate running for Congress by the name of Allen West, it was there I was introduced to West by the person (Lorain) who formed that group.

After listening to this man speak, I clearly came to the conclusion he wasn't phony, he wanted change and positive change for this country, Obama had just been elected and was already hell bent on doing damage to it.

Then the work began, a major part of it was convincing his backers I was on their side, I was well known as a Democrat, which you totally misunderstood and clearly jumped to a conclusion about.

A week or so later I met with a group of his supporters at lunch and we discussed what I could do, if they allowed me unfettered access to his events, they finally agreed and the "revolution" was formed.

West held a rally at the Revolution Nightclub, I had my son a videographer setup on the second floor and using a combination of house audio from the board and on-cam audio, he produced this video.

I promoted it and it was picked up by the producer of Hannity, this got West national attention and the money came pouring in, when it was all tabulated he collected $2.5 million, consider that and let me know when you have been able to bring that much in campaign funds for a politician you have supported?

The answer is probably zero, because while you like to lecture others, your are doing nothing on your own to do anything politically positive for this country, all you can do is bitch about others have done such and call them names, which is frigging petty and childish.

By the way I was not paid not a single dime by the West campaign or the Republican party for my work, I work differently, while West earned $2.5 million in donations, I made $23K in advertising and licensing fee's.

    Now that is honest politicking.

Bet your people cannot do such.

I have also noticed, you realizing you are clueless about me have backpedaled from calling me a Republican political operative to just a political operative, makes no difference, you are clueless as to what I do to make this country better, which is more than I can say for you.

Oh so you admit you libeled me as a Republican political operative, in a public forum, good I going to follow up on that, I am sure the owner of this forum will appreciate such.

This board has been a snooze-fest lately … so that little Danny - Bonded scrap above was greatly appreciated.

Anyway, I hope Sanders doesn't get too cocky about trying to influence the platform.

Reality check, Bernie and the broz … you got smashed pretty good last month by Joe.

Now, back to looking over those 2020 Porsche 911 specs

I'm seriously thinking of adding another one to the collection... 8)

    Yeah.

Trump will be lucky to hold Biden under 300 EV.

Blowout City for Biden. Worst case for Biden 278 EV.

So what do you all think happens next?
Will Biden win 100% to zero starting with Alaska Friday?
I think real Sanders fans will keep voting for him, right up to the end.
There are also other names on those ballots. Now's the chance for Warren, Bloomberg, Klobuchar supporters to show their candidate what they might have gotten if their states voted sooner.
This would be a great time to start revising the whole system. On 2016 I proposed that each state vote twice. Maybe finish the first round by April 30, then start over with Iowa the next week. There would always be 2 remaining candidates at that point, maybe more, but not the hopeless longshots that start the race and fall apart. On the other hand, some of those hopeless longshots are hopeless because super Tuesday spreads them too thin. With a focused campaign in the first round they'd know exactly what to work on in the second round.
Of course the person in second place at the halfway mark could concentrate on the places he struggled the first time.
In Bernie's case in 2016, he had no time to focus on the south. This year we learned it wouldn't have helped. Had he learned that in May 2016 he would not have been in this race and might have found a candidate to his liking that could get somewhere down south.

Bernie was technically done after Joe won "Super Thursday". I'm happy to see that he will still continue to collect bargaining chips in terms of additional delegates.

The polls between Trump and Biden will be interesting as they'll indicate which direction the Bernie Bros split between the two nominees.

Anecdotally, I saw a Tweet from a Bernie supporter saying that Bernie was not their "leader"; he was their "representative". There is a mindset difference between American Socialists and American Democrats, just as there is between American Nationalists and American Republicans. The populists (Socialists and Nationalists) have quite a lot in common, though the solutions may be vastly different.

Anyway, we now have a race between a populist and a traditional establishment Democrat. I expect a lot of Bernie supporters to stay home. How many move to Trump and how many to Biden is up in the air until we see some polls in the coming weeks.

Trump is handing out "free money" left and right. Biden seems to be nodding his head in agreement and recommending that the country does what Trump is already doing. That's likely to have a big influence.
