CNN had a field day with its chyrons during Trump's 'meltdown' at his coronavirus briefing

I'm doing it too. Dammit.

 

Democrats, and quite a few Republicans, had the good sense to lock down their cities and/or states, which is the only reason that some of the worst hot spots are starting to show signs of leveling off or even slowing down. If Trump had followed the best advice, he would have either made that suggestion to all 50 governors, or better still issued a national stay-at-home order.

Instead, during the entire month of February and part of March he downplayed the virus over and over, mostly because the stock markets were in free-fall and his rich Corporate America buddies were upset. Plus, the rising economy was his one single selling point for getting re-elected.

I'm assuming that as a Trump supporter, you'll just deny these facts or replace them with more "alternative facts." You have your opinion, I have mine. My opinion of Trump's presidency stems from two statements he's made, one recent and one from a few years ago.

"I don't care. I believe Putin."

"I don't take responsibility at all."

That sums him up for me.

But the reality remains the same. Trump has done a great job so far, and took action that saved lives long before democrats even began to take it seriously.

This just highlights how screwed up the political system in the USA is. In a time of national crisis all each side can do is try to score points of each other being hyper critical of anything the other side does. No one is capable of replying rationally.

How hard would of been to say this is what we did well this is where would should of been better. The problem I guess, is that any sign of weakness, maybe truthfulness is the right term, is blown completely out of proportion. Someone needs to rise above it, but I don’t see it happening.

Claiming the response has been perfect, etc, etc. is just plain ridiculous, just as ridiculous is claiming that everything has been done wrong.

The inability to see anything positive in the other side’s point of view or arguments is a major major problem for the whole country. Maybe I only get to see the extremes and the worst of it through the comments and clips shared here, but the outlook is bad.

 

On the contrary, what I expected was for the user to whom I replied to provide proof of a claim that the media lies. I was looking for something specific, just one proof on one lie against Trump would do.

I get my news from many sources. It's been my experience that just printing Trump's actual words, or showing video of him speaking, all in full context, seems to constitute lies in his opinion and in the opinions of those who still, for some unfathomable reason, believe the pure horse pucky that comes from that little cake hole in his face.

That last bit, accusing others of wanting this nightmare, sounds both stupid and mean. Why would you think such a thing? What Democrats have said anythink like that? Can you prove that claim?

 

He did say that there were "very fine people on both sides" and since one of those sides consisted of a conglomeration of white supremacist groups, then he did, in fact, call white supremacists fine people. Claiming otherwise is just spin.

And he specifically said isn’t hat same quote that was chopped up, that he wasn’t talking about the white supremacists.

LIterally by name, said he wasn’t talking about them. Yet they chopped off the later half of his quote and then literally claimed he said white supremacists are good people.

That was a lie, and as fake news as you can get.

Incorrect, he took action well before democrats ever began taking it seriously and according to Dr.Fauci he bought us a lot fo time in doing so. That time, is saved lives.

 

lol... I watched it, and 'praising Trump' was not its purpose. It was intended to highlight the media telling everyone the virus was no big deal, then accusing Trump of doing the same while he was taking protective actions against it. And it was very effective. Which is why CNN went into conniptions.

 

Remember that, when you sling those, partisan darts, at our President. Mark your words and remember that you give a pass...to some.
