(Bloomberg) -- Of all the wild, unprecedented swings in financial markets since the coronavirus pandemic broke out, none has been more jaw-dropping than Monday’s collapse in a key segment of U.S. oil trading.
The price on the futures contract for West Texas crude that is due to expire Tuesday fell into negative territory -- minus $37.63 a barrel. That’s right, sellers were actually paying buyers to take the stuff off their hands. The reason: with the pandemic bringing the economy to a standstill, there is so much unused oil sloshing around that American energy companies have run out of room to store it. And if there’s no place to put the oil, no one wants a crude contract that is about to come due.

I know you would rather call the vast majority of people 'sheeple' and 'brain washed Zombies' than accept realities that you don't like personally. You're also misrepresenting the reality, which I suspect you do even at a pathological level (i.e. to yourself) when you speak of Russia "electing our leaders." We both know that is not quite the issue here. The issue is Russia flooding our news media and social media with disinformation in order to influence how our people think, both to try and get what they want and to cause all manner of infighting and disruption to our respective societies and political systems.

Russia has been setting and spreading fires in our grass roots in order to sap the strength and resolve of our nations. They have been working like demons, playing the long game, to destroy us from within. Tragically, it is working. Look at how crazy the right has become, at how they embrace such a vile and absurd "leader" as Trump today, how they embraced birtherism and other conspiracy theories during the Obama years, vicious lies about the Clintons and now about the Bidens, and so on, and on and on!

What they do is terribly effective, too, or they wouldn't invest in it. Every person they turn becomes another autonomous weapon against their own country (and against NATO and the EU, and everything else that represents a threat or inconvenience to Putin's regime), and like zombies, each one goes on to infect others and create more zombies.
