I have two things that I miss most due to the Covid shutdown.

Would love to keep this thread away from anything negative, or health or economically based issues enough of those threads around :) How about we just talk about fun stuff we miss ?

    1. MLB. Man I miss baseball. Always just took it for granted as it was always there. Winning or losing I watch, it is just such a great sport to watch IMO. In person or on TV, just really miss it. Had plan to see the Astros vs Rangers at the new ballpark in Arlington this year. Hate them Rangers but they do know how to build a nice ball park :)

    2. Concerts. Live music is so good. Already had 4 shows I had tickets too canceled or postponed this year. And they were some good ones!

I miss a lot of stuff but those two the most. Although a pint of Guinness at a pub is a close third :)

    What are you missing most?

Going to the gym. Going out to dinner/drinks. BTW got my wife drinking Guinness now poolside. The virus was good for something. ;)

I do love a good Guinness!

If you ever get to Dublin go to the Guinness Storehouse. I swear it is just like Willie Wonka's Factory, huge brick walls and all. Very cool.

    Damn now I miss Dublin!

I do not bet, I'm too cheap I think.

I only watch baseball, but I can feel for you fans of other sports due to my baseball heartache. :(

Hope that our future won't be plagued by authoritarianism at home and global warfare abroad.

My adult kids and taking them out to eat whenever I see them. Its sit down time that now weird and restricted. Once I saw my daughter. I threw a lawn chair her way as we talked in different yards for half and hour.

    1) Taking the boys out to eat, to the aquarium, zoo, etc.

    2) Being relatively carefree in general.

I miss Eating out, Nascar, seeing my clients face to face.. . Zoom ain't the same...church...online services are nice but sense of fellowship isn't there, non paranoid husband, visiting my parents...they are well into their 80s and dont want visitors...

I do like the comfort of working at home though my bosses do crack the whip.

I miss my orgy club. Lord the juicy stuff we had. Rabbits were jealous. Some of the Stros miss it as well, we were always stoked when they participated!

    1. Hockey (NHL). The Av's could've won it all. Maybe next year.
    2. The gym/pool.

    Things I miss:

The NBA, I was a big fan.

The Gym (wife really misses it)

    My 401k balance.

    Sobriety, I really miss sobriety

Conversation that starts with "how about this weather" vs "since all this virus stuff"

Out biweekly game night with family and friends.

    Various positives include:

Tons of extra free time due to no NBA.
    Workload cut in half
Tons of hand holding with the better half.
    More walks and bike rides
Cooking up a storm, every day
Yard work, my lawn looks amazing
    Free Gov't money
70% increase in value of ammo stash.
    Traffic! Glorious lack of traffic!
Finding out who the real negative Nancy's are in my life.

Spending more time with my long distance relatives via weekly zoom parties. (No huge fan of zoom itself but it serves a purpose)

    That is all, carry on.

Wee hours grocery shopping, why would a store go non 24/7 anyway as that would give vulnerable people more off hours to shop in? This would reduce risk for the store personnel too.

What I mainly miss is the justified outrage people should be showing. Everyone is saying we need more testing and access to PPE and that if we had that we could get back to a more normal life, but this ******* is STILL dithering and blithering. If these were the times I was raised in people would be up in arms and calling for either action of some sort or somebody's bronzed head. Yet the Trumpers go on saying how wise it is to gargle Clorox and the President seems to find a briefing about how many people have died from a plague that is his fault the perfect time to break in an incredibly insensitive new stand-up routine

If this is a bloody war let's act like it's one. I heard that GM was refusing to make more ventilators. If this was WWII their chief execs would be in jail and Generals would be overseeing their factories. In 1941 GM's factories were making army trucks the day after Pearl Harbor, are we now less concerned because the enemy is about to kill us all?

My work is still open and I'm a homebody anyway so not much has changed other than I'm buying more groceries now and buying more of them online. My kids are home 24 hours a day now which has just been just really super wonderful having three teenagers who want to be out playing school sports and hanging out with their friends having to stay home in close proximity to each other. Oh it's just been wonderful. Did I say it's been wonderful?

Now when the meat starts getting more scarce, that will be a whole other story.

Every day this continues is one less day I would have the chance to watch Crazy Uncle Joe be propped up in front of a camera.
    But I just re-watch,
