Sorry they do not have the majority of the citizens behind them at least by the polls and if it was otherwise they would have had no need to try to threaten the government with their guns.

Next the government had the inherent task of dealing with threat to the public health.

Now if the fools was only threatening their or even their families health you might had a point concerning their rights to do so, instead they are threatening every one in the society.

 

Nothing more than men-children with authority issues having a childish temper tantrum. Sad.

It pretty obvious by the insults you are saying that you are angry. These people are freedom loving patriots bravely opposing their oppressors.

Actually watching everything unfold, the lesson is that densely packing 8.4 million people into less than 350 sq. miles and not planning for excess health care resources for the eventual crisis is a bad idea. New York City failed. Other, less dense cities, have enough space for people to be sensible and spread out a little.

We have no data on sheltering in place because half the country never did it. Granted 60% of people in the NYC boroughs at one point were staying in and that probably saved them from a total meltdown since they were so completely unprepared to deal with any bad bump in the road.

He would be infuriated at those who stood up to him as there freedom loving patriots are. You have it backwards.

Awww....we do have few hotspots where the medical people really are working hard to handle the load. They are heroes.

Having said that there are very few hotspots in the country.

Michigan's hospitals have 35% open capacity right now, and California never even filled their hospital beds to 50%.

The whole point was to not crash the health care system and not make doctors have to choose who lives and who dies.

That worst case scenario never happened. Mission accomplished. We can put out the "fires" in hot spots as the flare up from here on out. We're much better prepared thanks to the task force.

They didn't threaten anyone with their guns though. If they had done so, they would have been shot.

 

Little children throw temper tantrums to try and get their way. That's why so few people joined the protesters. Very few people want to be associated with men-children playing army-man in the streets.

 

I'm sure that brings a lot of comfort to the 65,000 plus families of the people who died of the virus and that doesn't include the next flare up of the virus. Let's pray wherever it is where you live, you don't end up like those poor folks in the northeast did on the first wave of the virus.

And yes, the first responders and medical personnel are the true hero's in this current pandemic.

Our country has a mechanism in place to ensure our voices are heard against whomever one might feel are the oppressors so we don't need thugs with guns in a lame attempt to intimidate; they need to stop playing soldier and resolve whatever issues they have in their heads.

 

People are voluntarily social distancing for the most part. That's as it should be. When aggressive politicos threaten mandates and fines, people rebel. These overly-pushy politicians are pretty stupid when it comes to human nature. Gretchen Whitmer is probably the dumbest governor in the country.

Deaths here are low, like most well-managed regions, and over half the deaths here are from nursing homes which no one is allowed to visit. Only residents and staff. The virus is still getting in.

There never was a lock down. Everything has been voluntary. Now protesters have decided to stop volunteering in areas where case counts and deaths are low and in identifiable clusters like nursing facilities.

Most areas are not hard hit, and are manageable if they get hit. People need to work.

So then your argument would appear to be that there are only a few hundred "freedom loving patriots" in the state.
When MLK marched for freedom - hundreds of thousands joined him.

When petulant children march, the get a few hundred to join them. That's what happened here. Nothing more.
