We've all seen the tweets and statements from people ranging from anonymous posters here, to liberal news analysts, even to psychiatrists, claiming that Trump suffers from an antisocial personality disorder and a narcissistic personality disorder. Evidence includes his affinity for Putin and Kim, his late night tweetstorms, his off the wall suggestions for treating the virus, his lying, his grandiosity, and so on. These are causes for monitoring, and are not ideal characteristics of a gentleman, but ... I think what we are dealing with is an unusually energetic extrovert, a bon vivant gadfly with an outsized ego, who can get very nasty when criticized by losers who can dish it out better than they can take it. That's about it. A bad personality is not a mental illness. Trump has supposedly been rapidly deteriorating for years. People have been monitoring his "malignant narcissim" for decades. It seems an awfully slow moving disease, if that's what it is. I think, at worst, he is an occasionally cruel rascal, with too much energy. He sleeps 4 hours a day, and I've never seen him yawn.
No lol However ..imagine how your mental state would be after 3 years of nonstop lies and hate against you
Every President has deal with criticism ... if you have a fragile ego, it's not a job you should be in. Half the country is always going to be second-guessing you - it's an American pastime. 30% of Americans believed that Obama was a secret Muslim terrorist. 30% of Americans think Trump is a man-child with a fragile ego. Obama had Fox News and Talk Radio blaming him for every problem in the country. Trump has MSNBC and CNN and the late-night comics making fun of him. Obama shrugged it off. Trump has a child-like fit on twitter.
No president in US history has had to endure 20 percent of what he has from the phony fake witch hunts to the Soviet impeachment Obama was not a terrorist lol He was a con artist
I do agree that Trump should ignore half of the stuff and not be on social media as much as Kim kardashian lol
Heh, that's an interesting point. In one sense it makes sense to ask here because you're all close observers of Trump. In another sense, it doesn't make sense because most of you aren't psychiatrists.
You left out the fact that he is completely out of touch with reality. Example: The head of the national nursing association says there are sporadic shortages of PPEs, while on camera and in the oval office. Trump denies it. He also called for extreme torture and the mass murder of tens of thousands of innocent people. That makes him a psychopath or at least a seriously evil bastard. Maybe he is just evil. He is certainly in league with people like Putin, Jong Un, and Duterte.
He is certainly a master at whipping a fanatical crowd into a frenzy of hero worship. He has always reminded me of Hitler that way.
No, and he's not stupid either. He's flat out evil and mean to boot. He enjoys causing others pain even if he loses by it too and he particularly likes to victimize the poor and downtrodden as he is a pure Calvinist, believing that anyone with a tough life deserves it since God Hates Them. He's proud of most of these personality defects as he thinks they make him "tough" He's also one of those hypocrites who thinks it makes him clever. Calling him a snake is an insult to reptiles everywhere.
I think he's punking us. He proudly proclaimed that his minions would remain faithful if he shot someone dead. They did and still do. While campaigning - "We love him because he tells it like it is...." As president - "Don't listen to what he says, listen to what we tell you he meant when he said that...." He's in over his head. Mentally ill? Nah, I don't think so. Potentially in early stages of dementia, but not mentally ill. He's playing games.
Completely out of touch with reality? You are describing profound schizophrenia and/or psychosis. I just want to be clear: you sincerely believe that he is "completely" out of touch with reality?
Add that to the concentration camps, the mass murder, and his impending invasion of other countries, the parallels become clearer and clearer.
Correction - loony partisans on both sides of the aisle have TDS. He's neither Hitler nor the messiah.
Had an argument about the "injecting disinfectant" statement (which he NEVER said, and if implied , it was just a CEO throwing out ideas to build on), my point in the argument was "do you really think the President of the USA seriously thinks injecting disinfectants is a good idea!?" They are deranged to think so... TDS to be succinct
Oh yes.. I had the "you think he's the Messiah!" thrown at me when defending Pres Trump.. Can't get them to listen to "no new wars, lowest unemployment or best economy" argument.. of course Covid 10 has blown two of those out of the water.. as the Demonrats say "don't let a crisis go to waste!"
