I normally explain, in prescient and detailed fashion, contrarian but correct views on the motives behind Leftists (read: The Politics of Resentment/Envy, Incompetence as an Individual Actor, degeneration of a society’s roots generally…). I’ll keep this one quick though because the point is easy to make.

Currently about half the population isn’t even paying income tax – by demographic stats on voting, the great majority of these persons are Left-leaning – somewhere around 70%. Yes, they pay *very small amounts* in sales tax, etc. but this is inconsequential in the aggregate analysis.

Now they want free rent (excuse being Covid pandemic), free college, free health care, free this and free that – free everything! The question is – when will the Producers in our well-rooted society pull out the weeds – the Takers? Why are these Takers allowed to vote if they contribute net-negative to the system and have nothing riding on the consequences of their votes (financially)?

Could you provide a link showing the 70% not paying income tax as being Left-leaning? Thank you in advance.

Fact: If you make more than ~$30,000/yr - you make more than almost 98% of the rest of the world. Thank the system that allows even these American 'poor' to live as much - degrade the capitalist system that created that prosperity and watch your real incomes plummet - yes you, Falcon, be careful what you wish for.

The only part of the world that's relevant, to the majority of it's citizens, is the one THEY LIVE IN!!!!

I'll give you the basic rundown of what's going on in your head - note that this is how we all function, so don't take it too harshly. You can overcome your primal instincts and these basic mistakes if you put in effort though:

Evolution is real, and as former apes we lived in *very small* communities where Communist type ideas worked well. Specifically, if one ape got too powerful relative to the other apes, many of the others (living in a world of extreme scarcity) would feel emotions such as 'envy' and 'resentment' towards that ape. This kept the small ape commune equitable and the scarce resources distributed so they *hopefully wouldn't starve*. That's the basic function of your thought process here.

Fortunately we live in a world of *extreme overabundance* here in Modern America. Unfortunately, large swaths of the population haven't been given the 101 (you). You need to keep those emotes more in check as they're neither healthy for you nor in any way beneficial to a large, complicated, scalable society such as ours - the basis of our society being constituted by the many decisions made by hundreds of million individuals.

I.e. your emotes are best suppressed, or just go live in that Arizona hippie commune where your emotes might actually make a difference

He payed no income tax because his company spent billions to expand and thus employ more people. Also Amazon pays billions in other taxes..

Yeah, how dare we have things like K-12 education! Those non tax paying kids need to be kicked to the curb. Or those grannies in the elderly home! How dare they not be paying any taxes while baking cookies and knitting scarves for our brave tax payers!

We want market failures sometimes. Simple as that.

No, no, no. This tactic has no power here, Saruman.

You can aggregate/net government expenditures as a percent of the economy. Let's assume in happy world that conservatives would be O.K. with the status quo - i.e. as per you, 'things like K-12 education' being covered by Big Momma Gov't.. What these hypothetical conservatives in happy world wouldn't be ok with is paying for free college, free health care, free rent, and apparently an endless procession of More Free Stuff.

This would increase the aggregate government-to-economy ratio, which would decrease the private sector (free market/capitalism)-to-economy ratio accordingly. It has to - that's how these things work...lol...

I'll bet he pays a bundle of income tax. Perhaps his company doesn't but there is no way for him to become a billionaire tax free. If your complaint is the taxes the company pays, you should take that up with your representative. A change in the law is what you want.

Do conservatives also know little Timmy’s reading program acosts money that could be invested into the private sector? Because my urukhai are really into reading as well. Anything that applies in this case should be the same as elsewhere.

First off, the Urukhai aren't really into reading - just taking, taking, taking (what's theirs, of course). Just kidding.

Anyways this has been addressed through posts #4 and #7. Get some historical perspective. You're not starving - it typically quite the opposite situation judging by pringles sales.

Note: "Not Starving" refers to post #4 - it's metaphorical reverse hyperbole so no straw-men please, thanks

I’m on my phone, post 4 is the post about how much money people make. And post 7 is the explanation on evolution yes?

Post #4 is about getting some perspective on the current situation of even those "poor Americans"

Post# 7 is an explanation as to our primal instincts (most notably among Leftists and their endearment for Resentment, who seem prone to this) and how we can keep them in check (with historical relativism)

Yes you do. Falcon needs a very long nap and a diaper, too - maybe Mommy Gov't can supply this for him
