Complain? The nutcases trying to extend the shutdown using fear porn I do ridicule. You must be another one that can’t comprehend the point.

The stimulus checks were not unemployment checks. They also only went to people earning <$100k/year. They have zero relevance to the topic of this thread.

The rest of your rant doesn't even merit reading, much less a response.

Yes, many people are finding that their unemployment income is higher than working. That's why we can't do a monthly check on top of that. And, also, benefits must be cut back to normal once we leave the coronavirus quarantine behind us. Otherwise, many people aren't going back to work.

Stimulus...why there were topics before this one about the stimulus being a reason, like in post #1, "No wonder folks don't want to go back to work!"

they do not take out the tax I don't think do they, so would still owe that

corps got trillions, if those trillions would of went to the people, the corps would have had to create jobs to get that money

so know we get to see if the supply and demand republicans always talk about is true, will employers pay employees more now that supply is short?

It does have a sort of twilight-zone quality to it.

sounds like you're not happy with the Trump shutdown... or the Trump bill he signed giving employees an extra $600 a month for unemployment

yep, many businesses closed because of Trump's Corona virus Guidelines for America, even in states that did not officially close down, cause if an employee got sick or died, and they did not follow Trump's guidelines, they could be held liable

I don't think they tax it, but still, I don't see how kids live either way. The $390 is about take home for minimum wage, I guess, take home plus the $600, definitely a reason to want to keep it that high. Supply of workers can't be short, remember, no wall.

make it a felony to knowingly hire illegals, why republicans refuse to do that is beyond me... is it because they prefer cheap labor to American labor? how many illegals has Trump hired in his lifetime?

many fear going back to work without testing, Trump is having his staff tested daily, why Trump so scared of the virus if nothing to fear

I heard you have to pay tax on it, but not sure they take it out at the time

Trump agreed to the $600 extra on unemployment as a carrot to get the mega $$$ for the corps... now the right wants their carrot back

The Republicans probably are the ones picking up Mexican looking guys at the day labor sites. Talked someone into hanging out at one, he was white, nobody picked him up. One flat out told me they prefer Mexicans to Americans; remember, Republicans are racists first and patriots later.

    I assume many.

PS. I love messing with my own.

Trump signed the bill, it was a bipartisan bill, this money has already been spent, why should someone take a job making less then they would on unemployment

maybe employers need to make it worth their while to come back to work, maybe Trump could sign a bill raising the min wage

I agree that people shouldn't be paid more while on unemployment. But this isn't so bad since any jobs available are being snatched up incredibly quickly. Large parts of the country are being reopened so you got your wish. However Texas is seeing a rise of covid cases to record levels. I hope the summer heat saves them.
