The impeachment hearings make my case. The career bureaucrats in the state department thought they set US policy and the elected president had no right going against what they had decided. The truth is they work for him and his policy is official US policy not theres.

There's no question that Biden wasn't many peoples first choice. He wasn't even on my list. The DNC pulled their shenanigans once again and here we are. Biden won Vermont in a landslide? Give me a break.

That said, the people I have talked to, while not particularly happy with Biden, will vote for him and every other blue candidate down the ballot to put an end to this shitshow.

It is often said of elections that "This one is important".

For once, I believe that to be true. This election is not only important, but historic. And any prediction, from either side, is just wishful thinking at this point.

I may be wrong but I understand Obama's strictures did not separate parents from children nor keep them separate if they did.

If that was the case, then why did they pursue it knowing full well the Senate would never put it through. If it was politically motivated, they never would have pursued it.

They moved ahead on principle because anything less would have been a betrayal of their oath to protect the Constitution.

I think this election may well determine whether we ever see an honest election again.

Make no mistake. Trump is Putin's protege and as far as elections are concerned he is following Putin's playbook chapter and verse. He hasn't killed anyone, yet, but I just can't see how he would do anything else if he gets a second term.

Nah. Dem congressmen figured they wouldn't get re-elected if they didn't impeach Trump even if it required the most bullsh*t of reasons.

While Biden may not be the first choice of the AE Sanders movement - Biden did not alienate them like Hillary did. And at the end Bernie threw his weight behind Biden. A unified Latino/Black Coalition motivated to show up will be tough to beat.

Last election was a 20yr low in terms of turnout - alienated AE Bernie voters sitting on the couch. Red showed up for Trump - it was a regular circus on the other side - who could ask for more entertainment - and still Hillary won more of the popular vote.

4 more years of demographic time bomb have gone off - the glitz of Trump has worn thin with many - and certainly his AE credentials.

I maintain that if Blue shows up - Blue wins.

And Biden has a bigger, much bigger number to overcome than Trump.

There is no question that the incumbent enjoys an advantage.

100 million Americans sat out the 2016 general election. And if politics didn't matter to them then, it is most certainly on their radar now given the abject failure this administration has demonstrated in the last few months. To top that off, with the death toll still rising, Trump proclaims "Vaccine, or no vaccine, we're opening the economy again". I can't tell you how badly that plays to a good chunk of voters. Those nearly 100,000 dead have families that are still alive, and if one of my loved one died unnecessarily from COVID-19, I would not be voting for the man who is, literally, sentencing more Americans to death from it.

I would laugh at it, but it not only harms the Republican Party, but the entire county

Your brethren liberal ilk Don Lemon and Anderson Cooper and many others like you and them are probably "swallowing that entire shitshow" in much the same way.

I hear that more and more from liberals these days. The word is like a cuss word now.
We can see the difference between a "Never Trumper" and a liberal.
That would be very surprising seeing as though, based on the content of your posts, you seem to take your marching orders from those two and their idiotic ilk on a regular basis. You're like a parrot of their views.

    Like I said, "Glug-Glug-Glug!"

    Grow up. Really.

I haven't subscribed to cable in more than a decade, and I haven't a clue what talking heads like Lemon or Cooper are babbling about. I am a left leaning American veteran, father, and patriot.

My posts are a reflection of the news I do digest and distill through my own psychological filters. Just like you, and every poster on this site. Much of which comes from decidedly right wing websites which I then cross reference on more left leaning sites. Then I make a decision. Often that decision is that I am being lied to by right wing news sources even while acknowledging that left wing sources spin information as well.

Go glug-glug-glug more of that right wing Kool-Aid. You are obviously incapable of seeing anything but black and white on the political spectrum.

You don't need cable to get CNN and other decerebrate liberal televised media. I don't have cable either. But I can watch the gamut of news channels as well as CNN, PMSNBC et.al. on my computer. I can even direct it to my smart TV if I want to.
You take any and almost every liberal view on a slew of political subjects. And I base that on what you post here in this group. And enough so to classify you as a liberal. Even though you won't admit it.

Lemmie guess...You're a fiscal Conservative and a social liberal. That's just a liberal who doesn't want to pay their "fair" share of taxes that they legislate on the populus.
    Translation:

I hear and see what the Conservative/Republican Party/people do and say yet I go out and get the liberal spin and marching orders on it from the liberal spin doctors shows and sites.

I (you) know they are usually "out there" yet I subscribe to their philosophy and find that even a "bit of spin and dodge" is O.K. just as long as the liberal mantra is preserved.

Yeah. I know. The truth hurts sometimes.

If you weren't so, so transparent, those with good perception wouldn't make the assessment ("Pegging") of your political philosophy as I did.

    I thought democrats don’t stereotype...

investigate them all. But don’t expect everyone to not notice that Kavanaugh with his accusers whose friends can’t even remember the event to just ignore the accuser against Biden, especially after Democrats claimed that all accusations should be believed.
If Kavanaugh wasn’t good enough for Supreme Court, Biden is not good enough for presidency.

Pelosi knew her impeachment goes nowhere. She wasted a month of Congress’ time when she should have been there working with Trump on stopping WuFlu.
That impeachment is no different from current 2 trillion package that the congress passed. Everyone knows that this bill is nothing but political maneuvering.
And Dems have enough guts to claim that the spread is Trumps fault.

Oh, did you forget about not my president riots immediately after the elections? Short memories. How old are you?

    I don’t overlook anything.
How hard is it for you to understand - paying off a porn actress for silence (Over consented sexual contact) is not the same as rape. Never was. Never will be. We all know - Trump is a crappy family man.
Do you still not realize that Democrats just spit onto every woman that ever had to go through rape? After all the drama, “me too”, “believe all women”, all of a sudden Democrats show that they care about rape victims, but only if R’s and D’s align properly. In my book that’s worse that openly not caring.
Do you really think moderates and swing voters didn’t notice this screaming hypocrisy?
Trump is not a good guy, but in November we will be facing a choice of picking a known evil, Trump, or picking unknown evil who might embarrass us even more with his Ukraine and China dealings, appeasements, and strangely weird, pedo-type, attraction to young kids and women. With Biden we should also realize that there is a huge chance that whoever runs with him for a VP will become a president. Biden won’t be in power - his advanced age took such a toll on him that it’s painfully obvious that his handlers will be the real power base and that’s a huge unknown.
Democrats turned an easy win into a real quagmire. My brain still can’t settle on the fact that after 3 years of being told how dumb and stupid Trump is and yet, our only option is to go with Biden, who is even further away from reality than Trump. How the F is that even possible? Your own party apparatus destroyed your real chance of grabbing this easy win with accusations against Tulsi Gabbard and silencing younger, truly moderate candidates. Can’t you see that Biden was forced on us by the Democratic Party leadership? Was Biden everyone’s first choice? No! Then why is he the nominee? Who is responsible for giving him so much in resources?

In the last 3 years we learned:
The POTUS is too old, too white, too demented, too male, too straight, too rich, and talks nonsense.
    Who did they front?
A white male who is even older, too white, even more demented, a male, straight, rich, talks even more nonsense and on the top of that sniffs and touches women in public. The candidate who talks of change after spending 30+ years in senate and 8 years as VP.
Thank you very much! In 2016 I voted Hillary and held my nose and this year I’ll be voting Trump holding my nose.

Every state department witness testified Trump didn't follow official US policy in Ukraine. As I stated they didn't grasp Trumps policy was official US policy not their policy. What is do hard for you to understand here?
