    That is YOUR choice. And in the meantime without long term testing doctors want to use the drug to treat patients are reporting success in doing so and say they can't wait for these more definitive studies.

    Hundreds of doctors urge Trump to remove limits on hydroxychloroquine for virus outpatients
    https://www.washingtontimes.com/new...ZOzle0MdBUDFQ7tsmdKPS6N03oItMATQ7U8aoG73Gqz6U

    It's your choice and you shouldn't push that on ANYONE else including our President, go urge your Prime Minister to ban it in your country if that is what you want.

    I don't know how things are with your doctor and pharmacy, but when I get my prescriptions, they include a little info sheet that says what the pills look like. I do, in fact, ensure that the pills match the description. And I double check that stuff when giving something to my kids. From your comments, it seems like Trump's handlers would be able to fool you with sugar pills, too.

    Really?

    Definition of PREVENT: keep (something) from happening or arising

    If you are correct, why do we need a vaccine?

    If you are correct, why over 70 vaccines are being developed?

    If you are correct, why Trump is promoting Operation Warp Speed?

    If you are correct, why Trump hopes/wants a vaccine by end of this year?

    ANSWER: Because currently, there is no proven drugs to prevent COVID-19

    ------------------

    For anyone's info

    MALARIA VACCINE;

    A malaria vaccine is a vaccine that is used to prevent malaria. The only approved vaccine as of 2015 is RTS,S, known by the trade name Mosquirix. It requires four injections, and has a relatively low efficacy. Due to this low efficacy, the World Health Organization (WHO) does not recommend the routine use of the RTS,S vaccine in babies between 6 and 12 weeks of age.[1]

    NOTE: "Low efficacy"

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaria_vaccine

    ------------------------------

    Hydroxychloroquine

    QUESTION: Does hydroxychloroquine PREVENTS Malaria, and/or hospitalization for MALARIA?

    ANSWER:

    Hydroxychloroquine is not effective against all strains of malaria, or against malaria in areas where the infection has been resistant to a similar drug called chloroquine

    https://www.drugs.com/hydroxychloroquine.html

    ---------------------

    LAST QUESTION: Does hydroxychloroquine PREVENTS hospitalization for COVID19?

    ANSWER: Currently, there is no proven drugs to PREVENT hospitalization for COVID19

    CONCLUSION; Your claim that Hydroxychloroquine PREVENTS hospitalization for COVID is very TRUMPISH.

    There is the Physician's Desk Reference which is on the Net now but there's only so many colors and shapes and sizes pills can take and the ingredients do impose some limitations there.

    Last time I was at my ophthalmologist I was being tested by one of those infernal machines they use to detect glaucoma and I noticed a PDR sitting on a file cabinet nearby. Surprised that anybody would keep such a heavy tome handy, I asked the operator why she had one.

    "We use it for children to sit on when they are too small."

    You believe something TRUMP says? Not even Trump believes what Trump says, he rarely even KNOWS what he says and clearly doesn't understand a lot of it even as he says it.

    Not even Trumpers believe Trump anymore, seriously, it's a problem since the Executive branch is actually our main source of statistics and many people are beginning to routinely dismiss ANYTHING the government says.

    Clinical studies take years. So if you developed symptoms don't take HC real simple, your choice. Others like the President will make theirs.

    CORRECTION: Hundreds of REPUBLICAN doctors urge Trump to remove limits on hydroxychloroquine for virus outpatients

    Number of active physicians per 100,000 population in Wisconsin; 265
    Population of Wisconsin; 5.7 million
    262 X 57 = 15,105 active physicians

    NOTE:

    Sen. Ron Johnson, Wisconsin Republican, sent President Trump a letter Friday from more than 700 physicians urging him to expand the use of hydroxychloroquine for coronavirus outpatients by removing federal and state restrictions limiting the drug’s use to hospitals.

    He said he forwarded the request to the White House after gaining support from 776 physicians, just 14 hours after he began circulating the letter, which asks Mr. Trump to issue presidential directives allowing doctors to “fight with all the weapons we have at hand.”

    --------------------

    Well, let's assume Ron Johnson circulated said letter among his Wisconsin's Doctor buddies/supporters;

    776 divided by 15,105 doctors = 5.1%

    Let's assume Ron Johnson circulated said letter nationally;

    776 divided by 1.1M% = 0.07%, thus, a MINISCULE number

    Example of a MAJORITY;

    GOP Shows Support For Legalizing Medical Cannabis In Wisconsin
    https://420intel.com/articles/2019/12/12/gop-shows-support-legalizing...
    2019-12-12 · In Wisconsin, public support for medical marijuana legalization is significant. At 83 percent, according to an April poll conducted by Marquette University Law School, more people back medical cannabis than ever before. Support for full legalization has even tipped the scales into the majority, at 59 percent according to the same poll.

    Ron Johnson's response; NOPE! and not even for medical purposes

    So, why not try something with better evidence backing it’s use?

    HCQ was always an outlier, yes it had potential to stop viruses in the lab (in vitro effect) but when they trailed it with other viruses (SARS1 MERS, etc ) it had no measurable effect (no in vivo effect )

    It has known very concerning and serious side effects

    You would be better off taking a combination of vitamin C, Echinacea and zinc

    We looked into it and the on line petition basically had a bit where you could tick “i am a Doctor” with the added tick that said “yes I really truly am”

    This is an old story I read somewhere:

    "I went to the doctor with a strange swelling on my hand. He looked at it carefully and called his partner doctor. He shined his light upon it and looked at his protege then intoned "Physician's Desk Reference". The other doctor looked at him and said "Physician's Desk Reference?" Yep definitely "Physician's Desk Reference" he answered, "I'll get it" and he stepped into the next room where they kept their bookshelf. He returned briefly with the huge tome under one arm and took my hand. "Let's see this now" he said and carefully laid my hand flat on a table as he handed the book off to his partner, who then raised it and brought it down hard on my extremity. When he raised it the swelling was gone. It was a sort of benign fatty deposit ( I forget the name) that would disperse harmlessly into the surrounding tissue with a sharp blow."
