No that wasn't what I was saying. I was saying that whether one is open to objectively looking at the possibilities of hydroxychloroquine would appear to be determined by whether one is a Trump supporter or not...and I am not saying all Trump supporters are objective. I am saying it has become a political issue not one about health. Given that I was aware that both China and South Korea had been using it before Trump mentioned it, I have never seen it as a 'Trump' issue. Nonetheless that is how it is seen. In this way I can see the people of the US can be easily programed. Most countries do not just have two parties but you do and really it is quite amazing the way people's position on issues appears with some to be totally determined by their part whichever one it is. Those who wish can easily play this off and get on with what they want to do.

imo it's an easier path to herd immunity, so yes, but with the virus now mutating in China, it could end up like the flu vaccine having low effectiveness because it can only be guessed at as to which virus invades next season.

Thus, according to AFM, if we already have a PROVEN drug that PREVENTS hospitalization for COVID, then why do we need a vaccine?

Same logic for the common flu; If we had a proven drug that PREVENTED hospitalizations, then we wouldn't need a vaccine, right?

The Flu, like Corona, is a type of virus with many strains and can mutate...so what vaccine cures this strain,might not cure the other.

While preventing hospitalization is a great thing, it's not a cure. We need both
