No I don't know that our rate of testing went up, this is confirmed cases and it's a huge jump and I don't think we are the exception. The video coming out of the people totally unconcerned with social distancing and proper precautions is frightening.

I would guess testing went up eveywhere, not along ago it was hard to get a test, not any more. Also the result are coming back from test much quicker. Of course the CDC is also saying the test are not all that accurate in some cases.

But regardless the infection count is far outpacing the death count so the death rate continues to drop, no suprise there to many people. A real shocker to some on here who were uttering 3-4% death rates not long ago...

I actually me my daughter at the watering hole yesterday. They are limited to 25 people now. There was one other person in there when I went, about 20 minutes after they opened. Within about an hour that was maybe 7. A couple like me had not been there in weeks even with the lifting. I didn't feel in any danger we were all separated. BUT the bartender told me that Friday night they were packed. The woman who manages the place for the owner called in that night and the bartender told she was slammed and yes there were more than 25 people but what was she supposed to do she couldn't go stand at the door and count people, the manager got mad and hung up on her. Now the bartender said that other days it has been pretty dead. But the one night with it packed if someone was there and even asymptomatic they could be infecting others and I have NO REASON to believe there weren't bars and restaurants and other places where the same was occurring.

 

I certainly wouldn't consider the veterans amongst them "Rambo wannabes". Unlike the vast majority of their critics they actually served in the military.
