Why are Republicans so opposed to vote by mail?

Like turning a blind partisan eye to corruption in your own party? You mean like that?

I remember a commercial for a pizza chain that was selling the largest bad pizza ever. It was called pizza by the foot although I thought it should have been called pizza by the acre. Strangely enough, the pizza by the square foot wasn't a huge success. Perhaps more of a bad thing is not a good thing.

With this analogy, I fail to see that a greater number of uninformed and unmotivated voters is a good thing. Your post is based upon that premise, but I think that is where the argument really needs to begin. Bus loads of clueless voters are not better than fewer voters who are well informed. With voting at the polls, it worked as a bit of a gatekeeper to weed out the truly clueless. One had to know where their precinct voting takes place, be aware of the day of the week, and be able to read a map, and even care enough to get out of one's jammies to actually show up. With vote by mail, all you need is a stamp and a pulse (well except for the pulse part. It really isn't needed. Just find dead granny's ballot and vote twice.) With mail in balloting you are simply opting for acres of bad pizza. More uninformed voters will not make for better governance.

Democrats were against it as well, knowing full well how easy it is to commit fraud via mail in ballots. I am guessing that prominent Democrats, who want to seize power at all costs, are now embracing voter mail in ballots because they now embrace cheating and they know this is an easy way to harvest even more votes.

Most likely the same reason they refuse to stop illegal immigration. It pads their base with voters at the expense of fair elections designed to help Americans.

Seize power, then they can pad their bank accounts and control the population. They don't care about the longevity of the country as they have personal designs they need today.

It is really quite interesting how guys like you can't play it straight.

I said, in this very thread, "Yes, it's a problem".

I am a Progressive, in my distinctly unhumble opinion, when we do finally get another Progressive era, first thing should be dealing with corruption.

I know what you will say. But we've done it before, if we don't get reformers flushing out corruption, it means representative government, and what little we have left of democracy; will be dead.

But some things are obvious. You are projecting, you are the one turning a blind partisan eye.

Funny, Republicans loved voting by mail. Trump votes by mail.

And then Seniors decided enough was enough, and suddenly it's a crisis.

Some people are addicted to excuses. I call them Excuse Junkies. The thing about addiction, is your standards go straight out the window. Any excuse, no matter how stupid, will do.

    Know what I mean?

Guess that makes us two peas in a pod, your justification is "yeah, but your side does it worse". Was 8 years of Obama not enough? What makes you think it will be different next time?

Not as though you are offering anymore than your opinion, anyways. Complete with the typical liberal air of superiority.

And you can't name any voting system that has been completely free of voter fraud and election fraud. Mail-in voting is not perfect but it has much fewer problems than anything else we have.

Nope. I remember voting in the 1960s. I walked into the town hall and waited behind 3 or 4 others, the elections volunteer asked my name and address and looked it up. Then I was asked to sign a sheet to show I voted and the signature was checked against their original. Then I walked into a booth, pulled the curtain, cast my votes, and left. My vote was supposed to have been registered and counted and I had no reason to doubt it was.... or doubt it wasn't.

No electronics. I think I received a paper copy of my vote from the machine. Today, no paper. Just electrons that have been shown to be easily hacked. Tallies that are easily altered. And no way to trace back unless there is paper and chads. Some do issue paper. Some paper has ended in the dumpster. And Republicans fight tooth and nail against confirmations and recounts.

"Worked for over 200 years"??? Nope. You really dare to say that with all the problems and proof of Republican cheating we've seen? LOL!!!

Upon what do you base that claim? Common sense says the longer ballots sit around and the more hands they pass thru, the more chances for hanky panky. That's simple logic.

Wow dude, epic projection. I simply asked what you based your claim on. You stated it as a fact. I'm curious....oh nevermind. Carry on.

I heard this morning Trump is saying kids steal absentee ballots from mailboxes. I'd like to see some video of that. At what point does the words of this idiot become too preposterous for his cult?

Feel free to prove it's not a claim you just made up. That gargantuan projection was pretty damn funny. Here is your claim again, for a reminder.****
