In all seriousness, perhaps someone thought it'd be a good target, as targeting a news organization is sure to make news. But my gut tells me that these people are just very stupid.

 

Violent leftist rioters were throwing cement at the NYPD as they were driving through, so an officer swung open his down and smacked one guy as he drove by.

Liberal cities like LA, Atlanta, NYC are being destroyed by violent rioters.

None of the protests causing property destruction have any real emotional connection to George Floyd, particularly since the cop has been charged with murder. Massive destruction is the cause in itself now. The target isn't terribly important. CNN is part of a major corporation and corporations are fascist and evil. That's enough.
