~ I believe most people are not scared - they are angry. There never was panic - just misinformation, confusion and double-talk. Thank the "news" media and the "experts" called to the scene for guidance and advice.
Much to the disappointment of some the worst is over in the USA. The stock market will come creeping back as business returns to normal. Jobs will return once again and hopefully those who lost loved ones will heal. We will soon return to CO2 catastrophe talk and Donald Trump's alleged involvement in the Russia Mafia.

Could you cite this, and tell us what that rate per million is? Thank you.

I don't think so. We have lost well over the amount of people we lost in the eleven years of Vietnam, did we forget that very soon? This will be a well-deserved catastrophe for the Republican Party and I really doubt very much they will survive as a viable political influence, not at least with their present leadership. Trump will be VERY fortunate if he escapes incarceration for the crimes in the Mueller Report once he leaves office

~ The U.S. will lose approx 50000 each year from the flu . This year it's estimated at 70000. This pandemic is not a Republican or Democrat thing - it's an international thing that easily could have been prevented.
If people want to blame and be angry they should direct that energy where it belongs - the Chinese Communist Party.

The Chicoms noticed the disease first and it has killed thousands of them, but that is their business. Trump could have stopped it from taking 100,000 American lives and he did not. End of story.

This is false. Not one single real medical expert has ever stated that the virus could be stopped unless a vaccine was made, which can take years. In fact they have stated quite the opposite. That the social distancing, the masks, the closures...they were all designed to mitigate the spread. Making the curve flatter so that medical facilities would not be over run. That no matter what Trump did the virus could not be stopped. It could be mitigated, but it could not be stopped. So stop spreading falsehoods.

~ I suppose some folks are happy with their "hate Trump" syndrome. Perhaps it's a distraction from their miserable life - or a projection of self-loathing.

Why do you compare an event such as COVID-19 to the Vietnam War, as some arbitrary marker? Different causes, reactions, and outcomes.

Contrary to your statement, COVID is not a political event. It is a human event, and you may be better off if you acknowledge it as such. Unless, of course, you are aware of COVID infecting only those who believe a certain political, religious, non-religious, way.

This is false. Call it stopping, slowing it down, or mitigation. Dirty Donnie is responsible for the deaths of 80,000+ Americans because he failed to take the threat seriously, choosing to ignore it in favor of self-interest. Can't have any bad news on his watch. So stop defending his extreme ignorance and partisan actions.

Trump is not responsible for a virus infecting people. All that you're doing is spewing partisan claptrap.

Prove that Dirty Donnie actually did something to defend the US, validated from a non-partisan organization.

Let's recap, using DD's own words:
    Jan. 22
“We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s going to be just fine.”
    Feb. 10
“Looks like by April, you know, in theory, when it gets a little warmer, it miraculously goes away.”
    Feb. 24
“The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA. … Stock Market starting to look very good to me!” (fell from 28.8 to 27.9 )
    Feb. 27
“It’s going to disappear. One day, it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.”
    March 4
“Some people will have this at a very light level and won’t even go to a doctor or hospital, and they’ll get better. There are many people like that.”
    March 9
“The Fake News Media and their partner, the Democrat Party, is doing everything within its semi-considerable power ... to inflame the CoronaVirus situation.”
(Stock Market closes at 23. )
    March 10
“We’re prepared, and we’re doing a great job with it. And it will go away. Just stay calm. It will go away.”
    March 18
“I always treated the Chinese Virus very seriously, and have done a very good job from the beginning, including my very early decision to close the ‘borders’ from China - against the wishes of almost all.” (Stock Market closes at 19,899)
    March 26
“I don’t believe you need 40,000 or 30,000 ventilators. You know, you go into major hospitals sometimes they’ll have two ventilators, and now all of a sudden they’re saying, ‘Can we order 30,000 ventilators?’”
    ( 83,000 + confirmed cases , 1209 deaths)

If you can move past your angst about Trump, perhaps you can actually see the time line of events.

Apparently the news sites can't make up their mind, I've seen posters claim Trump was responsible for 38,000, some 80,000, and now this. Which, all in all, means they don't know how many, or who, if anyone, was responsible.

What angst ? Dirty Donnie is incompetent.
If you can move past your blind defense of a buffoon, perhaps you can see that you are not arguing the facts but questioning the numbers. You pick it: how many Americans have to die before Donnie needs to resign ?

Trump has certainly killed thousands of people with more to come.

Just yesterday a man on the street was asked why he wasn't wearing a mask. "If trump isn't wearing one I'm not wearing one" was his response.

How many people are like him? And how many of them are unwitting spreaders who are killing other people?

Trump has perhaps 60 million followers. If 1/10 of 1% of them are spreaders following trumps example, that is 60,000 people. Since we know that one infected person has infected as many as several hundred other people, we might expect 6 million people infected. If 1% of those die, eventually that is 60,000 dead because of trump.

And this isn't because trump had to make a hard choice where there were no good outcomes. This is due to nothing but his ego. He is killing people because he wants to be cool

So people aren't responsible for their own actions? This is where the political head to head hits a brick wall, regardless of subject matter.

The Democrats don't feel that people are responsible for their own actions, that they need to be told what to do.

The Republicans at least understand that people should be held responsible for their own actions, and apply logic and common sense.

Picking one person as a representation of what Trump supporters think and do would be like claiming all Democrats support the KKK. Do you see the failure of such a statement?

    This is when I laugh.

I don't defend Trump. I didn't vote for him, and I'm not planning on voting for either of the candidates put forth by the duopoly.

I didn't 'question the numbers', I outright laughed. You cannot prove who is or was responsible for people infecting others, much less by a third party. As I said to HWGA, people are responsible for their own actions, and the idea that one person is solely responsible for other people's actions clearly defines the idea that a whole bunch of people view the government as their nannie, and cannot apply logic nor common sense.

People who abandon their responsibilities, including the responsibilities of their office, deserve the ridicule they receive as well as the more serious consequences of their inaction(s). This even applies to Dirty Donnie, who will be remembered for allowing 100,000+ Americans to die because of his incompetence and self interest.

Please support your claim that he 'abandoned [his] responsibilities'.

Tell me,what was your response when he restricted inbound flights from China?

Some people may remember him as you depict, but it would be those who function on emotion, not logic and reason.

Support ? : 100,000+ dead from a pandemic for which no one in government prepared(in fact, Dirty Donnie ignored warnings from inside the US governmment).

My response when he restricted flights from China was, "What a moron, doesn't he know the world is round ?"

Memories of Dirty Donnie will be facts based on what he said(total self-interest and ignorance on display):

Do you understand circular reasoning? Your post is a particular example of it.

Please specify which of your bullet points supports the idea Trump is responsible for '100,000 deaths'.

They are direct quotes from Dirty Donnie the Dummy. The first two are sufficient. DD had nothing under control and did nothing to protect US citizens.

And you still don't understand what circular reasoning is.
