According to the charging documents, the cop knew he had no pulse for three minutes while he knelt on his neck.
I haven’t seen the proof of cardiac distress. As far as I’m concerned - it’s bovine excrement. Shortness of breath - well, we can all see it in the video. The cause was the knee on the neck. Such an act applied for a prolonged period of time will trigger shortness of breath and the cardiac distress. The cop killed Floyd for no good reason. I see no point of denying it or adding BS line “potential intoxicants” to preliminary autopsy reports. The cop should do 10 years, no if, ands, or buts about it. You don’t hold down a handcuffed suspect, face down, with a knee on their neck for 7 minutes.
Apparently Floyd did vigorously resist arrest; hence the knee on the neck. The autopsy pointed out that the knee did not kill Floyd. What killed Floyd was vigorously resisting arrest while being terribly out of shape and in poor health. Solution? Require all police everywhere to qualify as paramedics before leaving the police academy. Oh and also run them through a paralegal course or two. Finally ONLY hire Black and Hispanic cops -- first making sure that they are not White Hispanic cops. Easy peasy . . . traditional Dem Party voters will no longer have any motivation for rioting, looting, practicing arson skills and mugging innocent bystanders.
We know the cardiac distress started while he was still standing at what point it went to arrest we don't know but it did. I don't think it makes much difference. What we know is the "I can't breath" was cardiac not strangulation.
Regardless, it was the knee on the neck that triggered it or at the very least caused it to be life threatening. That is a fact.
He was at the least under cardiac distress as he was complaining of shortness of breath and why the officers had already called the EMT's.
Well if there was no pulse detected and yet the officer still kept his knee on the man's neck then . . . yep . . . it's negligent homocide. Now if on the other hand the officer testing for a pulse said that he was detecting a pulse then it becomes more iffy.
I could not find a comprehensive Felony Murder Rule statute in MN. Do you know if a grand jury has been seated? https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/cite/609.185
That is ignorant; you can still utter words if you cannot breathe or can barely breathe. Meanwhile people claim they cannot breathe wearing a mask.
Actually no . . . that is not a fact. It could have been the man's breakfast burrito or being approached by the police or resisting arrest while being handcuffed.
It is. This is anatomy and physiology 101, and not anything advanced that just delineates the mechanism more clearly.
And the most effed up thing about it is that when medics arrived they just loaded him in as a sack of potatoes. Human brain can survive for about 6 minutes without oxygen. F@ck the dumb cop, my question is - when medics arrived why didn’t they attempt to do a heart massage and manual lung ventilation? If that crew pulled their thumbs out of their arses Floyd would be alive today. And the third effed up thing is preliminary autopsy report that had “potential intoxicants” wording in a preliminary document. Who the f@ck puts such assumptions on a preliminary report? Those documents should be stating facts, not assumptions. That alone turned that document into a piece of garbage. There should be an independent autopsy done on Floyd’s body, because it looks to me like something funky is going on.
No it doesn't. He was already dead at that point from the cardiac condition and distress that started before he was on the ground. A crime of inflicting pain and suffering while he was on the ground yes. Did the officers CAUSE his death by an illegal act. That's a big question now.
There are many reasons why a person can go into cardiac arrest during a police action . . . but pointing to a knee on the neck as the trigger event is just voodo speculation . . . not science
So you prefer fiction, got it. I actually 'got it' 50 years ago, but what the hell. If I wrote it, you wouldn't read it. But a good place to start is The Price of Inequality: https://www.amazon.com/Price-Inequa...1590856830&sprefix=price+of+in,aps,159&sr=8-1 Not that you'll read it, you want fiction.
LOL. "voodoo speculation"? The Knee on the Neck Caused the Death... Good luck with the "voodoo speculation" narrative.
That’s stupid. You can breathe and have asphyxiation in progress if your body does not get enough of oxygen or cannot expel CO2. Did you know that you can drown hours and even days after you were drowning in water and were successfully pulled out? The fluid in lungs can prevent enough of oxygen absorption and release of CO2 and the person literally drowns in hospital bed many miles away from the water if that person wasn’t monitored properly. And yes, that patient would be able to breathe and talk.
