    Mattis is either
    a)sour for being sacked,
b)the Globalists have dirt on him
    or
    c)as stupid as Trudeau

You left an obvious (and obviously the correct) option:
Mattis loves America and is dismayed to see Trump trampling on American values while tearing the country apart.

There’s no one left in the cabinet who isn’t a trump toadie, so no.
It’s up to us to get rid of the orange dotard in November.

Let’s starts with NOT working with Russia to change an election and not trying to bribe a Ukranian official? Then we can continue with NOT raping women. After that we can toss out that he’s racist or hates all immigrants. Or that he killed anyone due to Covid or these riots.

Does he express himself well? Most times NO. Can he be an ass? Yes. But lies are lies. False accusations are false. The media is lying far more about him then he ever has. It’s all narrative. False manipulated narrative. It’s sick that they can get away with it because they’re all complicit in the twisted versions of what he says or means.

Perplexed is way too mild. I have been sickened by The Trump Cultists. The Trump cultists sold their souls ( those who actually had one) to Satan for guy who they thought was a "great " businessman who would make the slowly improving Obama economy even better. They ( sadly also we) got the Bankrupter In Chief. They bought into that lie that Mexico will pay for Trump's wall. They bought into the lie that illegals aliens are voting.

You know what sickens me even more is those Senators and Congressmen who lack the "balls" to stand up to this Great Pretender because they fear getting primaried.

Mattis is a man dismissed by Trump, we can hardly expect otherwise from him? Would he have said no to JFK, Nixon, FDR and GH Bush's requests for troops?

Mattis is trying to salvage his career. The only way a former member of the Trump administration can redeem themselves is to denounce. Then it is on to the hate Trump media circuit to cash in.

So if Mattis would have said yes to the other Presidents, you gotta take a gut check and ask WHY he would not respect Trump's requests ... hint - the difference here is respect.

To know and to work with him is the fastest way to lose respect for Trump.

    In Union There Is Strength

I have watched this week's unfolding events, angry and appalled. The words "Equal Justice Under Law" are carved in the pediment of the United States Supreme Court. This is precisely what protesters are rightly demanding. It is a wholesome and unifying demand—one that all of us should be able to get behind. We must not be distracted by a small number of lawbreakers. The protests are defined by tens of thousands of people of conscience who are insisting that we live up to our values—our values as people and our values as a nation.

When I joined the military, some 50 years ago, I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution. Never did I dream that troops taking that same oath would be ordered under any circumstance to violate the Constitutional rights of their fellow citizens—much less to provide a bizarre photo op for the elected commander-in-chief, with military leadership standing alongside.

We must reject any thinking of our cities as a "battlespace" that our uniformed military is called upon to "dominate." At home, we should use our military only when requested to do so, on very rare occasions, by state governors. Militarizing our response, as we witnessed in Washington, D.C., sets up a conflict—a false conflict— between the military and civilian society. It erodes the moral ground that ensures a trusted bond between men and women in uniform and the society they are sworn to protect, and of which they themselves are a part.

Keeping public order rests with civilian state and local leaders who best understand their communities and are answerable to them.

James Madison wrote in Federalist 14 that "America united with a handful of troops, or without a single soldier, exhibits a more forbidding posture to foreign ambition than America disunited, with a hundred thousand veterans ready for combat." We do not need to militarize our response to protests. We need to unite around a common purpose. And it starts by guaranteeing that all of us are equal before the law.

Instructions given by the military departments to our troops before the Normandy invasion reminded soldiers that "The Nazi slogan for destroying us...was 'Divide and Conquer.' Our American answer is 'In Union there is Strength.'" We must summon that unity to surmount this crisis—confident that we are better than our politics.

Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people—does not even pretend to try. Instead he tries to divide us. We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort. We are witnessing the consequences of three years without mature leadership. We can unite without him, drawing on the strengths inherent in our civil society. This will not be easy, as the past few days have shown, but we owe it to our fellow citizens; to past generations that bled to defend our promise; and to our children.

We can come through this trying time stronger, and with a renewed sense of purpose and respect for one another. The pandemic has shown us that it is not only our troops who are willing to offer the ultimate sacrifice for the safety of the community. Americans in hospitals, grocery stores, post offices, and elsewhere have put their lives on the line in order to serve their fellow citizens and their country. We know that we are better than the abuse of executive authority that we witnessed in Lafayette Square. We must reject and hold accountable those in office who would make a mockery of our Constitution. At the same time, we must remember Lincoln's "better angels," and listen to them, as we work to unite.

Only by adopting a new path—which means, in truth, returning to the original path of our founding ideals—will we again be a country admired and respected at home and abroad.

    James Mattis

Retired Marine Gen. John Allen: Trump's threats of military force may be 'the beginning of the end of the American experiment'

(CNN)A retired four-star Marine general on Wednesday excoriated President Donald Trump's threats to use the military on protesters and his controversial church photo op on Monday, writing that his actions "may well signal the beginning of the end of the American experiment."

Gen. John Allen, the former commander of American forces in Afghanistan and former special presidential envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIS under the Obama administration, wrote in an op-ed for Foreign Policy that "to even the casual observer, Monday was awful for the United States and its democracy."

His comments come after the President declared himself "your president of law and order" as peaceful protesters just outside the White House gates were dispersed with gas, flash bangs and rubber bullets, apparently so Trump could visit a nearby church. He remained at the boarded-up building for a matter of minutes before returning to the White House.

Which one of the past 30 people Trump has bashed is NOT a,b, or C ? Obviously the right wing do everything to support Trump praying they can cheat on this upcoming election and win. Trump bashes everyone now. Of course he loves the 25 year old tweeting for him. Guy gets money, lots of it, starts a NEOCONSERVATIVE think tank with the motto "less Government" then uses that money from Trump and Friends to move laws towards fascism. Yep, less Government for the people and more control for the few.

Amazing a 25 year old Charlie Kirk could have any other reason than PANDERING to TRUMP to receive this attention ? Free ROGER STONE ? A known corrupt lying cheat freed by the Fascist POTUS. Yea, that works

The more the left and Never Trumpers declare using the military to stop the idiocy a bad idea, the more I am convinced it is a good idea.

Of course there isn't. But there is allowance for peaceful protest. And that was what was disrupted to allow for Trump's photo op.

Establishmentarianists turn against Trump when they realize they can't make him into one of them. This is not an uncommon or complicated dynamic...

Intelligent men call trump out when his conduct sinks so low that they can’t stand by and remain silent.
