I doubt any “leftist” did — they were just as enthralled to be in that cult as the neocons are to be in this one — I did though. And now we have an even worse mess.

Tell me, how many people died during N1H1 vs COVID19?
How many people have died in these riots vs the ones under Obama?

If Obama should have been “blamed” what do you think should be done to trump? Given a metal maybe?

Is it beyond a reasonable doubt he wouldn't have?

So the Rona killed him and not the cop? PROVE IT! Make a video of someone the same size as the cop kneeling on your neck for the same amount of time. If you don't do this, then you are just full of bologna!

    Does that excuse murder?

Leta all go out and kill us some kids - after all they are going to die one day anyway!!:roll::roll:

Life is short so why not just shorten it some more for those who we deem less deserving :

I tried to determine the ethnicity of cop #4 J. Alexander Kueng, the media went out of their way to point out that Floyd was black and Chauvin was white, but they seem to be going out of their way to not point out the ethnicity of Kueng. He looks biracial, but what do I know, I always thought Mehgan Markle was white until I was told she was in fact black and being treated unfairly due to her race and my first thought was.. "she's black?"

It's called the law. You must prove the officer with intent caused the death. Floyd was already in cardio pulmonary distress before he collapsed to the ground.

A very good prosecutor posed a hypothetical where an armed robber goes into a shop with a gun and shouts BOOM! and the shop owner drops dead. We were asked if this would help the defense get around a murder charge. The answer was no. Made an impression on me.

Yes, in MN the prosecution will have to prove intent.

There are defense lawyers who can overcome very strong evidence of guilt, but that video will give the prosecution a tremendous advantage.

Poverty? We have the fattest "poor" people on the planet. This is the United States of America where we have the best opportunity for success on the planet. If you are poor in this country it is for two reasons or the combination of the two. Reason #1 you are dumb (can't fix stupid) Reason #2 you are lazy

We have foreign immigrants whom can't speak or read English come to this country, work their asses off, and become successful.

I think the point is or I hope it was, that the state will probably list it as Corona so they will get their $29,000 check from the CDC. The cop is a murderer pure and simple.

The authorities will classify it as a virus death so they add one to their total. They di this all the time.

They have to breath in the air first. Floyd was complaining of shortness of breath before he was on the ground yet he was breathing. That indicates a cardiac distress.

One of the more dumb things I saw was Baden telling Hannity "look I'm talking but not breathing in" as if that proved for the 7 minutes Floyd could not breath.

That's not what I said. I suggested it could likely have been a strong contributing factor. Sometimes an outcome has more than one factor that caused it.

And I suppose they just put a knee to his neck for no reason??

Sorry to say, but it's just the reality. When police make an arrest and the suspect puts up resistance, they're going to have to use physical force.

If you don't like that, maybe it's time to go back and alter the laws to make less things illegal, so police don't do this unless they really have to.

With the man being a previous multi-convicted felon, who feared going away for a long time due to a 10th felony conviction, and with his body loaded up with drugs in its system, I suspect he may have put up a good deal of resistance.

I'm not trying to trash him, I'm just saying this is far from being a simple case of murder like some would claim.

So you have video of him putting up such a fight that the officer had to put his knee into his carotid artery for almost 9 minutes, while he was handcuffed and on the ground? Against both departmental policy and against the numerous remarks from one of the other officers on the scene...
Because the video I have seen paint a slightly different picture.

Yes this is another example of the question at hand when it comes to pronouncing charges and then proving them in court. The DA in this case laid murder 2 (upgraded from 3) on the primary officer but reviewing the Minnesota statutes for murder 2 I don't quite see how it can be proven - unless the DA has evidence that the public does not.

The conditions for murder in the 2nd, sans felony murder rule or protective order enhancement, require intent. I'm not seeing how exactly the DA plans to prove the officer intended to kill Floyd. And considering the subsequent charges against the other officers are in aid of the murder 2 primary that would have to be proven in each of those cases too. So that's four opportunities to pick this part and that's where the preexisting conditions come in because barring any yet unknown evidence the defense could be something to the effect of: I was following my training and department policy, I didn't hear the suspect claim he couldn't breathe, our intent was to restraint the suspect for safe transportation. The preexisting condition would bolster -I'm presuming here- an officer's state of mind that believed due to training the neck restraint was safe to use because even thought he died he had such and such additional contributing factors.

^above reply also to you guys as well

The report I heard said he had the Covid-19 virus and had recovered from it, but evidently a nasal swab even given weeks later will still show presence of the virus. This is what they said occurred in this case.
